Don’t laugh, that’s how disgusting the shit look like when Our former president was at the end of his eight years. The airplanes were absolutely disgusting. Guys we’re just trying to piece anything together to make it look good. You could tell that no money was spent on the military hardware.

Listing to Tim Kennedy in Joe Rohan’s podcast, he said it was night-and-day different the minute Trump took office.

They actually got the weapons, gear and ammo they needed to kick the shit out of ISIS...versus being hamstrung and forced to fight from a position of weakness under Obama.

Am I missing something? This ship was out under Trump's watch. 😂 Look's like shit. Hell, I saw ships rot in the mothball fleet here in NorCal that looked better.

i was out to sea for 80 plus days on the Kitty Hawk in the early 90's. Salt water does a number on anything that's been in it for a time. It's not easy to repaint shit while underway. For a destroyer to look this good after 200+ days out to sea is impressive. Just my 1st hand account to any naysayers. And on another note, you should see what it does to airplanes - saltwater that is

It also set the record for longest at sea by more than 45 days Grads.. it spent almost 2/3 of a year at sea with no maintenance.

I can’t speak for the accuracy of that chart but I can tell you that I used to prototype weapons for the government and Obama clipped mine and every single person I knew that industries wings in one night.. lol

Yep same here. Happened literally overnight. Trump took office and spending was back on for our military.

My sisters first husband served on the Kitty Hawk in the 90’s as well. He loaded the weapons onto the planes.

I did 2 tours in the Persian Gulf in 85 and 87 on a frigate. That picture is not because of an administration in office. That pic is because the ship could not pull into port for several months for routine maintenance because of a virus. It looks worse than it appears. I assure you that the working parts of the ship are in tact. That is mostly cosmetic. There may also be deferred maintenance on systems but major system deficiencies would have caused the ship to return to port. They didn't. That ship could fight right now despite the appearance. We painted at sea. We did maintenance at sea but I'm sure that the CO was lenient on the crew since port visits were non existent. Systems were kept up to date and working order and cosmetic shit was deferred.

You think that giant dent in the bow was just from someone putting too much tension on the anchor winch (I dont know all the proper terminology)? UIt at least appears pretty crazy in that picture.

I spent a short time aboard a Tin Can like the Stout.
We visited a French vessel, and a party of French military visited our ship.
The French ship was a complete shit hole. Everflowing shitters, filthy decks and living quarters,,, a floating cesspool.

Historically speaking, the French never plan on fighting much...

That chart is very misleading because the increase in spending during Obama was for the new wars he got us into while in office, not for new equipment. See below.

If not for France you would not be here to write that. 🤔
Elaborate please.
I know that before being desimated in ww1
French industry was superior. While the wright brothers were arguing over patents, france built an air force

Not to say that France didn't have motivation other than wanting us to succeed as a country but with the help of France we kicked some British ass.

Yes @Wheeler , I did forget...they did show up and throw down when we were in need. Even if just to piss off the Brits. I guess I was just blinded by the past century. They do seem to appreciate Normandie...and before that, they gave us a bad ass statue.

Their initial plans for America were less than honorable. They could have kicked the Royal Crowns ass but decided it would be best to align themselves as our resolve was not to be overcome.

WOW, Destroyers sure changed , my ship , Lyman K Swenson DD729 was so much smaller than that !!! Nothing like riding a tin-can thru a big storm, "The Sea was Angry That Day My Friend" lol.
They should have ported in Hong Kong and let Mary Sue and her Girls paint the ship before coming home, the Navy had to supply the paint but they painted the hwole ship just for your garbage, or thats how the rumor went anyway.
