You guys are doing it all wrong. You can’t regret it if you don’t sell it. . Hate selling shit. Love buying crap. Even though I am trying to sell 4-5 cars right now. Got to thin the herd down some.

Gotta ask, why the deuce shell on a '34 coupe?

The early cars I've built usually didn't get fenders. If I found a body with them, I'd usually sell them to help offset the cost. Someday...

Deuces used to (and may arguably still) be more popular than 33/34's so guys ran Deuce grills. You see a lot of Model A's with deuce grills too. The biggest influence for me was my buddy, Rex. He had this car since the 50's and I always loved the look.

I had the stock grill for many years as the car got transformed over the years. Got caught up in the stupid smoothy/billet craze in the early 90's and shaved it (thankfully left the cowl vent) and put in a Heidt's IFS and some other stuff. Ten years later came to my senses and went back to a dropped ax with hair pins and that's when I stuck the Deuce grill on there. I still like the look.

1967 microbus. Had some dents, but was nearly rust free, which is rare in WI. Sold it for $1100, with a brand new engine, in 1989 because we had just gotten married and I was putting myself through school.

No kidding Dave, that one left a mark. My son tells me now dad what were you thinking. I was 21.
I can relate. I had a couple of special edition Mustangs, each would run well into the six figure mark today but back then Mustangs were a dime a dozen, even limited edition ones.

I guess I am lucky, the 67 Mustang coupe I drove in high school is parked in my shop. Now I just need to do something with it, as it has about 320k on the clock with little restoration. Probably going to have to pay someone to do it as I just cant find the time.

I know its not a rare car and I could buy one already done for less than it would cost me but there is something about it being "my car". Who knows, my son may drive it a little in a few years.

I don't regret selling stuff. There is a few things I want again. I had an 1986 Jaguar XJ6, I know want an XJ12 version. The problem is finding one in great shape. The XJ12 series III wouldn't meet emissions in the US. So in North America, they only sold in Canada. So finding a nice one is very hard. I also had and sold my mothers Mercedes 500SL and 420SEL, I'm looking for nice examples of both. Again the problem is finding nice ones.

That’s what I was thinking also, my Grandfather loaned me $400.00 the car was $1,200.00 and the payment was $67.00. That was in 74/75.

Unreal that I got the car at 6 or 7 years old, orange with the white stripes all black interior.

Agreed, that was a great truck.

Looks like one of the old black sock Kool aid drinkers I used to battle with back in the day. [emoji1305]

Here up until 1986, malls, etc. had to close Sunday. People put cars for sale in our local malls parking lot on Sundays, since the mall was closed. After the law changed the local Lions club cut a deal with the mall and kept the car sales going. Back then they charged $5 for a stall. They still do the sale today. When I got my license in 1988, muscle cars could be bought cheap. So I bought and sold cars for fun and transportation. You could buy a 1977 Camaro Z28 for $1k, detail it and maybe do some mechanical work and sell it for $2k. Another car I want now. I also bought a 1970 Roadrunner with a 440 six pack, non numbers matching, originally a 383 car for $6k. It was black on black. Id love to have one again. Another flip car was a 1971 Datsun 240Z, paid $900 for it. Sold it for $2,200. If I could find a decent non rusty one, Id get another.

Hello my name is Jeremy and I have a piston problem... Everything!!! '66 Barracuda sold to me by Bob Riggle and the '68 442 are top of the car list. 2 harley's, a Triumph, and my Bulltaco top the bikes... Countless other "toys" with engines, I seem to have always had a piston problem. Everything from cushmans to antique line racing cars, everything with pistons. My first Manx, my Honda 200X, the list goes on forever!

Funny, first vehicle I ever bought new off the lot was my '95 Lightning. Toyed with the idea of selling it for a long time, finally decided to do it & the fucker crapped out on me. Maybe it's a sign, lol... I'm sure I'll miss it when it's gone, but time will tell I guess.

I do wish I would have kept this old '68 Ford.

I’ve been looking for a lightning. How much do you want for it as is?

Only two I've sold that I miss. Impala was sold for the Sanger; Sanger sold for a Honda Accord sedan  . I still retain my 1971 Chevelle I bought in 1995, so I'm ok these two are gone.

Man that boat looks exactly like my uncles old Sanger. Did you buy it new or maybe from a guy in Huntington Beach?

I bought it from a guy in Huntington Beach in 2004. I think he bought it in early 1990's?? He lived near Gothard & Slater or Warner. Don't recall his name at the moment and all the paperwork went with the boat when I sold it in 2010. He said he'd drag it up north (some lake at elevation) each summer for a week or two with his family. Does it sound like he was your Uncle? Boat had kind of a cool history to it. By 2010 it needed a new floor and stringers, paint was tired. Basically, boat and trailer needed restoration. It will always be the one that got away. But I lived the dream for 6 years.

Even though it wasn't mine, I just used it for two years. I miss my parents extra vehicle. It was an 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Trying to find a nice one today is hard. The mint ones sell for too much money.

I am on the opposite. I don't sell stuff. I have a long list of stuff that I probably should have sold before it lost value and I don't use it any more. Usually what happens with me is I use something so much it gets to the point where I need to decide to put big money back into it to get to like new condition or use that money and just buy something newer while shelving the old for parts or giving it away for next to nothing. If I used something so much it wore out I feel good that I got my money's worth so it doesn't bother me at all.
