Probably not, but I'm going to take a stab at it and say a Franklin.

Oh come on Wheeler...... You don't remember the very first brand new vehicle you bought way back in the 30's? I woulda thought that would be a cherished memory for you.....

That's what's throwing me off as well

Yeah, I never would say I am a pro at pre-war stuff but I definitely know the popular cars of the day(Fords and some Chevys).

Roof lines, pilars, window frames, etc on a lot of pre-war sedans looked so similar. Look at a 33 Plymouth sedan and the whole rear half looks just like that car in Wheeler's photos (33 Plym carried it's spare on the back though so definitely not a Plym)

But that hood is very odd (not pretty at all IMHO). I'm sure there are old school guys on here that will chime in!

Bingo!

Don't know what the hood is from, but the fender detail and the belt line is Buick.

I was thinking lower end model at first, but lower end models didn't have dual sidemounts. Pops said some Southwestern dealers would have louvered hood panels made to keep them cooler so the owner didn't need to open the hood doors.

hahaha

He named it that for the sole purpose of having someone ask "What's a Henway?" Then Norm would reply..."'bout 6 lbs".

You got me. I googled it and found.my answer on the HAMB. πŸ€”

If you want to get rid of it I'll come fetch it!
A friend wanted to make a rat rod but offed the 33 last week and the chasis went with it. If he now has no use for it I'm sure we can make a deal.πŸ€”

I knew Norm a little bit when I was a kid, 14-16 or so in the early 70s. Of course every car guy knew who he was ( he was also an actor) but my dad was into 53-6 ford pickups and was in a club for those specific years and Norm was in another club with his bad ass 54 chopped slant cab.

To end any and all speculation I just went ahead and named it "Color me Gone" The Henweigh or what ever the hell it is now resides in the land of the Parkabilly where it will see service as the ceremonial Chariot of the Parkabilly King!

thanks for playing along. :)

I forgot to mention all the money that I've saved with my purchase of used tyres and such. I'm Sofaking Happy! :) Next on the list is the water tank! It would look great in your front yard!! 🀣

Well we both are so happy you found those cheap ass wheels and I sold mine for bank. 😜 That tank will go good with the coupe shell at the Parkabilly Estate I'm sure, I am not in the treasure market at this time. πŸ˜‚
