I don’t know anything about it. Owner died 10 years ago, his relatives have it and asked me to sell it. Based on the hull ID, I think it’s a 74. No title or pink.
I don't know at all, but really a cool little boat! What hull is that? I like the setup, pretty cool river runner.
Does it run?
I'm reluctantly selling mine and would love to have a little something to put around in. Where's it at? I'd like to look at it. If we can agree on a price, I'll take it.I am not sure. I was told the last time it was in the water was early 2000s and it ran. Probably needs a fresh gas and a battery.
I think this could be a cool little project for someone. Maybe a cool father/son project. It’s in pretty good shape, just dirty. I thought about bringing it home for a little Newport Harbor cruiser
Hmmm, looks like you have some room left...Bought one of those used in 1974 when I was 17 for $1,600 dollars. Worst mistake I ever made, led to a life long addiction. The garage today 50 years later. View attachment 1016339
Monkey your are close to the truth, living in Havasu too hot to leave the vehicles out or there would be more boats parked in the garage.Hmmm, looks like you have some room left...
Well then, you "need" a bigger garageMonkey your are close to the truth, living in Havasu too hot to leave the vehicles out or there would more boats parked in the garage.
Well said!Well then, you "need" a bigger garage
I see an OB, an IO and, what at a glance, appears to be a V-drive...add a jet and a toon and you have yourself a full house!
3 carb rebuilds, water pump the lower unit and if you know how to do it, it might be worth it!! If you have to pay, I don't think so. Throw tires in the mix and the paperwork nightmare, no thanks.
Don't even have to get the truck tires wet, or was it momma's Oldsmobile. I think that is for a spare. What's up with the trailer, that's one LONG trailer for such a small boat. Is that bracket in front of the wench for a spare tire?
As for the boat and motor, if the motor runs and the hull is sound, maybe a fun little project. These old boats can hide lots nightmares especially hull rot etc.
If you do buy it, post pictures of the clean up process and maiden voyage

I'm not 100% but I don't think the 80 hp, which is a 4 cylinder, has 3 carbs. Never owned one though. Only the tower of powers.
@Dennis-19, if you're thinking the hull is a '74 there will be a HIN on the transom that you should be able to do a search with a fiend the builder. If there's no number then it's pre '73 as the HIN's started in late '72. You're best bet would be to ID the engine for a year.
Now the more I look at those transom pics I'm not sure it is a straight transom.
Be a cool little starter/dock beater for someone.
You're right on that engine after looking at all the pics. I was a little off in my years of the 80HP. With the black shift box it is a 2 carb engine. The 3 carb dealio was the KA carbs on the 80hp 6 cyl of the 60's. We're getting old aren't we!!! Forgot to include it needs fuel pumps and more than likely all the fuel lines under the cowling as they had a tendency to leak like a sieve at the hose brass ends.I'm not 100% but I don't think the 80 hp, which is a 4 cylinder, has 3 carbs.
