What props on your bravo 3?

I have an eliminator eagle 230 with 350 and bravo 3. Boat has dual 3 blade 22P props. I’m guessing this was mostly because they used it as a ski boat. Great out of the hole but lacking on the top end. Anyone else with a bravo 3 drive and what are you running? Also, what kind of boat do you have it on?

Essex 22, 454 mpi (330ish hp) 28s. It will kiss the limiter in winter or with a light load. I have 2.0 gears fyi.

We run 21’ Essex, 6.2 B3 320 hp. Have stock 26p 3 blade bravos. Pulls well across the board but wish it was better out of the hole. I bought an age and weight appropriate ski to fix that. Five mph either way on the top end makes no difference to me.

What's your Essex's top speed with that setup? Is your boat the mostly white one with some green I think on it? If so I may have talked to you a few years ago

I had a 22' crownline open bow with a 5.7LX with a bravo 3 with 3 blade 26* which was a great cruising prop.

Awesome tow prop when I went 4blade 24*.

I know the two aren't comparable but that was my experience.

Hallett 240 with 502. Has 28p 3blade props but interested in trying either 24 or 26p props. Maybe the 4x4 props too. With the current setup I am not reaching full rpms.

If you would like to try a 26P i have a set. If you like them then make me an offer. I am located in Anaheim. They came off a friends boat
and he went with a 24 P. They have been sitting in my garage for a few years.

I have a 26 toon with a 350 Mag and run 22/24 combo, works well.

B3x drive w/ 2:1, running 26p 4x3, boat is Formula 240 (~5.3k lbs dry) with 496 mag ho, definitely a compromise between hole and top end, thought about trying out a 28p to try to get a few extra mph, but then again I'm a summer boater who runs pretty loaded (ppl/gas/gear, not me!) and a canvas bimini, so any extra top end would look better on paper than in practice...

Hallett 240 with 509ci, 530hp, fairly certain after the rebuild it has a 2.0 gear set now. Runs stock mercury 3blade 28's. 65mph set on kill, don't recall RPM but it was into 5,000's, not exactly on the limiter. Docking, holeshot, and mid-range are great with the B3. We've not been concerned with optimizing top end in 20years. We carry a spare set of 26's but I don't ever remember running them.

22' Essex, 496 MAG, factory 3-Blade 28P's. It has towed skiers, wakeboarders and tubes for 20 years. Gets on plane pretty quick and runs an honest 65-70mph(GPS) with a light load. Haven't tried any other props.

21’ Essex with 502 efi / Bronson Hill labbed 28’s. 68-70mph at 5200rpms just bumping the stock rev limiter fully trimmed loaded with people/fuel. It’s crazy how much lift the B3’s creates up on plane with good hp. Only thing in the water is the back pad and the lower. Not crazy top end speed but no prop slippage jumps out of the hole very quick.
