A buddy just called me wondering if I had any interest in a wrecked 2007 mustang cobra (with the supercharged engine/6spd)...runs, clean title, 30K miles, would make a great donor. He wants $7K for it. Dunno if any of that stuff would fit but it would be cool if it did.

Sounds like a great start for a Cobra replica.

keep it stock ... repaint, add some nice shocks , new brake pads add the 4 lug to 5 lug wheel adapters and put some nice old school Torq Thrusts wheels on it. Put some BFG’s 235/60/15‘s on it ... Start going on CJ Mustang parts website and just have fun. Why do I say this ... cuz it’s a 6 cylinder ... upgrading everything for a small block ? ... the $ will be going out the door forever. IMHO ... Just make it a good runner that looks cool.

I didn't post any pics because it currently looks like a barn find. This thread sounds like what is going on in my head. Stock, lightly modded, heavily modded, dont even start it, etc.
We will see what the future holds . . .

I remember my cousin showing up with his brand new 65' Mustang 6 cylinder, 3 speed stick. The cool thing was it was a convertible, the not so cool thing was when accelerating we got passed by a bus and an old late stock 60's VW beetle. You could micro-wave a pizza accelerating between 0 and 60 . 😂
Then my buddy got a 66' Fastback with a 289, much much better. Then I bought a new 68' Cougar CJ 428 --- OH MAMMA MIA

Just put a nice 302 in it and enjoy. Nothing too radical and it will be fun to drive, won’t cost a fortune and you can do it in a month over a few weekends.

With its non-powered Ford Falcon front suspension components, put those tires on it and it'll be undrivable.
