So this means there’s one more day of the year that if a nurse, cop, fireman, etc works that day, they get holiday pay.
And, their employer lost money that day vs a normal day paying time and a half

In Texas, this Saturday all over the State, there's going to be a shit ton of the best BBQ, endless tables of side dishes, fixins, drinks and deserts. Come one Come all.. bring a dish,, drinks,, get together, turn the kids loose, and enjoy the day, It's really more like Thanksgiving in the Summertime.

That was 7 years ago. Nobody said shit to anybody about being black, or white.

It can be a declared holiday by the government. As it stands right now, people work most of the current holidays. Only people I know who will definitely get it off are government workers, schools, dmv..."union"...but most will work this holiday. Government adding a extra day off for themselves.

Got an email saying in 2022 company will give the day off.
We used to get 3 floating holidays a year. Starting in 22, we get zero floats.
F that, I get double time when I travel of federal holidsys, guess I will be booking travel on the 19th next year
