Having some friends over tonight. Bbq'ing chicken, wife's making some taters, and my friends wife is bringing a salad. Easy low stress day for us after the long ass day we had yesterday.

Salad for the starter. Tri Tip and Pineapple Shrimp for the entree. Baked Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus and Garlic Bread for the side. Going to wash it all down with a few bud lites and follow it up with some Tiramasu Ice Cream for Desert.

some chops

and ill get some hate for this... but a steak is best done in a pan, salt and pepper, with some butter on it at the end.

The chops look Great, what type of grill you using to get the nice sear marks? I've tried steak that way but I think I need better pan's to get really hot. But i love the char I get on the steaks over the coals on the webber. I bought the webber just to do steak on for that very reason.

kenmore 5 burner converted to nat gas. i turn it up all the way, get to about 800* and toss stuff on.

as far as a "better pan" it doesnt take more than a cast iron skillet to do a perfect steak on the stove, and they're cheap...
