Just wanted to start a thread about cigars. I put this here in the bbq section because that is when I enjoy my smokes. I like to couple my cigar with a micro brew beer of some sort lately it's been an 805.

I personally enjoy medium to dark blends. Currently I'm hooked on anything from the COMACHO line. I find them to be smooth and full of flavor.

Some others I find worth mentioning are Diesel, Gurkha, Flathead.

What do the other inmates suggest?

These are Pardegas. They’re one of my fav’s. Great flavor, little spicy. They turn on after a few months.

These are the Epicures, this is the first year I’ve bought those. Really fucking tasty. Smoother than the Pardegas, great smoke.

These are the Monte Cristos. They’re a tightly rolled smoke. They burn for ever. One of those ones you got to light a bunch of times.

And, of course the Romeo and Jullietta. A lighter spice, good flavor.

I've never touched tobacco. In the last 20 years, I've wanted to try a cigar. But at 50 years old, it seems silly to get into it.

My wife got to the point that even If I smoked in the backyard I smelled too strong to let back in the house.

Yet it is OK for her to Vape in the house.

Tell me it will get better.

@welldigger00 nice!! I'm gonna try those out.

@Kachina26 you might like them. Its an acquired taste. But definitely go for an well recommended one if you do. Generally they will be more expensive but you'll be happy.

@TimeBandit Im gonna go out on a limb and bet it has nothing to do with you stinking up the house. it has everything to do with you smelling like a man and melting her panties off is getting expensive 😂

So another one that I really like and forgot about is psyko 7. Personally I think these have the coolest label. It's a prescription pad.

Various cigars. The ones in the plastic are pre Castro. View attachment 957117 View attachment 957118

That cohiba lanceros was my first cigar. I was in the Bahamas. My mom asked what I wanted for a souvenir. I said a cuban cigar. I was 15. She gave me cash I went to the shop. Told the guy I wanted the one castro smokes. He handed me that massive cohiba. I set up in a hammock with a couple of coronas and start puffing away. It was awesome until I had to get out of the hammock and fell flat on my face. I was spinning horribly. Finally staggerred back to the room. Hit the bed and spent all of about 10 seconds staring at the ceiling fan before I ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out.

That's an awesome collection.

I have two monte cristo number 2s and a dark cohiba in my humidor I think I've had maybe two cigars all year.

@zx14 why do you keep bananas in your humidor? Seems quite silly to me.

Does it help them not brown so quickly?

😂

The Oliva is a great smooth cigar. I have gotten into the habit of picking up a cigar around lunch time on Fridays and enjoying after dinner with a Coke Zero and Gentlemen Jack. My wife hates it but loves me so now she just leaves me alone. Every time I can't decide or take too long looking around I find I grab an Oliva. Best $10-$12 cigar in my opinion.

I don't smoke cigars any longer, and got rid of 2 of the 3 humidors I had.

The one I kept was handmade for me by a inmate in Folsom Prison. I believe he was set to be transferred to San Quentin for a stay on Death Row.

It's not the biggest or the best sealing humidor, but it is a cool conversation piece.

New to the thread just tried this ArleQuin as suggested by a smoke shop owner, it wasn’t terrible. Thing held on to its ash I’ll give it that, little tight draw but was pleasant. 7/10
