Smallest one I've ever seen was made by Halibrand...

I have a small v-drive. It has 3" c/l parallel shafts. I believe it is by Warner Gear. The case is iron. The gears are 1-1.

The smallest one I have seen to date is in the Blinger, and I'm almost positive it was made by the Grose's. It looks barely big enough to house the gears and bearings, and nothing more. Keep it tight, keep it light.
