This might help, for those wondering -

9am - 7pm is potential for low water in Needles, at least thru Sunday given current release schedule

Based on the release schedule, they cut water back to 1-unit at 11am PST
I see the water respond in about 9 hours - it starts dropping around 8am and by 10am its low.

Heres what 1 unit looks like, from roughly 10am - 7pm this week.
Boatable without issue, but my dock is basically still in the mud till the last 3-4 feet of it.
And our dock is pretty damn deep compared to most....

Heres is what 2-3 units looks like:
Davis dam ups releases to 3 units at 10am PST - and by 7pm I see it coming up.
Again - 9 hours to see the full change from release schedule, to the Needles bridge.
The change may be faster with higher releases, but im not sure.

Thank you! Appreciate the visual! We have a deep bouy out a little past the end of your dock or right at the end of your dock so i think even at 1 unit well be fine.

Mead is up aprox. 20' since the first of the year, but mostly due to the releases from Powell which is due to the great snopak last winter. I also read they expect the release's from Mead to be less than the last few years. The main reason for all the low water levels mentioned in this thread is, they were holding water back due to the hurricane and lack of demand.

A whole 20 feet . I swore at one point they were saying it would go up 60 . The water usage in the southwest is truly living on borrowed time . California better figure out a plan quick .

It was Powell that went up 65', but has currently dropped back down about 10', so at this time it's about 55' up, but still sending water daily to Mead. All things considered it's been a very good year. Hoping next years as good.

There was a prediction early on both were going up that amount and I agree it was a great year for water but as we have seen this was not every year . All of us up river have a luxury of using water and putting it back in the river or lake after is cleaned . California is a end user and needs to figure it out sooner rather then later .

I don't remember all the details of the latest 7 state agreement, but they did get a little movement from Ca. I'm sure it will be modified depending on conditions. I'm from Ca. and certainly glad I left, but I sometimes hate to bash them completely on the water issue, because they basically feed the nation. They can certainly do better on techniques and conservation however.
