Do you guys mind posting your pool size and dimensions. Trying to actually visualize what a 21x32 really looks like. Thanks

Sounds huge. Mine is 15,000 gallons. I'll get exact measurements when I get home. Mine is 9' deep and when I get some time I'll be laying some concrete and installing a diving board. Was supposed to get some estimates on refinishing(probably pebble) and possibly doing something to the decking or replacing. Something must have come up though so maybe today. I think mines going to be about 14,000 gallons.

Theres a formula. Length X width X average depth. Then you multiply by 7.48 to concert the volume to gallons. If free form the numbers slightly smaller like 7 I think to account for the loss.

21 wide seems huge. Mine is 35 by 16. I think it all comes down to how much room you have to work with. Always keep in mine more surface area is harder to keep warm.

Love that table. Was just talking to voodoo about adding some sort of table and bench if I can afford it [emoji106]

That table deal is bad ass.

The table has a hole in the middle for an umbrella. As expected, on the really hot days a lot of time is spent in the pool and under the shade of the umbrella.

Okay that's pretty close mine is 98

How you figure? The dims you posted is 106 linear feet. Then again I'm assuming you are talking #2 plan with the straight lines. If one of the free forms then a lower number makes sense.

I pulled this overhead pic of ours off google maps so the quality is kind of crappy. Ours is 37' x 20' and goes from 2'9'' in the shallow end to 6' in the deep end. Honestly, when we have people over to swim we spend 90% of the time in the shallow end.

No I didn't build this pool. It's 40 years old. We moved into this house thinking it would be a good starter house and two decades later we're still here. :grumble:

Both are about the same size. Around 16x28. But one is rectangular and the other is kinda freeform

Don't remember the said of our pool but I remember it's a little less than 25000 gallons. I had to turn the size to the water company for water use

one of the reasons we did a play pool. More room for hanging out.

I agree. Looks nice. Clean lines are forever. Rock can be done very well or it can look like your backyard is stuck in 2003 forever as an example.

Bad. Ass.

MYV....Should I be careful asking about boulders?

Brian

Can you say add on charges?

That was a smart idea leaving that one there. Any smart contractor is going to write into the agreement that unforeseen things in the soil like boulders will cost more. MYV is obviously a smart contractor who knows what he's doing.

Clearly it can be done, lol
If he's in El Cajon those things are all over out there. Cheaper to incorporate it then to remove it. Lake Mathews, jurupa valley Iv hit ones like that. Jurupa valley one, pool got flipped and baja ended up on top of it, and the topper entire pool was a breaker dig in entire decomposed granite, the huge boulder was NOT decomposed yet. :D
Lake Mathews one we used 2 tractors got the fucker out, built a platform outside of pool and became a large jumping rock. I'll try and find pic and post
Had one similar size in Claremont up top of Padua, customer paid to remove, but broke backhoe, and broke the axle and drive shaft on dump truck if I recall right, my excavators lost their asses on that one, shit happens
Doubt you got anything that scale in your yard, and to purchase a rock that big and crane it in, :eek will be face for the price tag
