Are wheel spacers on a Sxs good or bad?

Depends on what SXS what axle and how thick.

It is fine in the rear but can affect durability but add a little stability.

In the front it can affect the ride, steering effort and response, and really kill ball joints, wheel bearings, spindles, tie rods, steering racks, etc.

I’d say it’s not fine, it’s like putting a cheater bar on your ratchet. Increases the fulcrum.
Now, that being said, I used them on a jeep, and never had an issue.
Used them on a Vette, never had a issue.

As long as it’s within reason, I think there’s little difference between a spacer, and a wheel with some negative offset.

Both have the same pros and cons. Too much and it’ll stress out things like what’s posted above, plus wheel bearings.

Thought about putting 2” spacers on a wildcat xx just to make it a little wider.

Probably not,”good” for it. But most likely, you won’t have an issue.
Let’s say your axle was good for 2Kips stock. With spacers, the weight or stress on your sxs would be less to reach the breaking point.

I did 1.5" all around when mine was new, no issues now at 850 miles.

You'll likely experience some of the steering side effects I mentioned. More steering feed back, and increased effort. It has power steering, so the increased steering effort will probably be minimal.
