I’m thinking some of these guys really need to think about what they are doing a little more.

This is why I recommend Adrenaline instead of a lot of other trailer mfg’s. Because if things like this.

Seems like a new $20 handle could fix that?

I'm more concerned why the boat is hanging a foot off the trailer :)

That setup looks like it was designed to run the basic Fulton jack, not that wide/heavy duty one.

You might be taking things a little too seriously now!

Or your sarcasm is outweighing my sarcasm now... only possible because if pain meds. :D

Just was saying that’s a pretty rookie mistake.

I think I mightve figured out this riddle.

I'm no rocket scientist here but take a second and hear me out....

What if........

They rotated the base so it doesn't hit anymore

Easy fix. Remove handle, cut down a few inches, drill hole and reinstall.

Looks like an easy 2 beer job!

And add a bend. They sell new 6" offest handles for ~$20 That appears to be an 8"

I'd be more concerned about the boat not being loaded on the trailer all the way.. transom probably hanging off the bunks.

And fire the retard that didnt index the pivot pin on the jack correctly..

Because the winch handle won’t turn to pull it on the rest of the way

Then how did they get it up that far?

They probably bent the offset winch handle, making it contact the jack release, or just put a new handle on the jack and it is the wrong one.

That program looks used, clearly it has not been a problem for the life of the trailer.

I would image with the use of the natural buoyancy of the boat and a sloped ramp

I think someone just put the wrong handle on the winch. The trailer has been used, this would likely be a problem noticed the first time out of it came that way.

bingo. but knowing a trailer shop they're probably going to cut the whole thing off, reweld it back on, repaint that section, etc... basically charge an arm and a leg to fix a simple problem.

i took my truck to a muffler shop because it was missing a rubber insulator on an exhaust hanger. they wanted to cut off the hanger and install a new one. i grabbed the rubber part and put it on and asked "how much is that going to cost me?"

You can see the boat isn’t touching the bow stop so that would put the winch handle possibly in a different location so the jack can swivel into position so then don’t hit each other

Don't worry...that's nothing compared to the fucktardery I had to work with a couple weeks ago:

A guy up here buys a certain type of baller deck boat, about an 07 vintage. Decided he wanted to mount an electric jack and battery box on the tongue. He proceeds to plate the hell out of the thing with the stick welder set to kill. Welding was done nice, but got it a tad hot...the master cylinder and the backup lock out solenoid were no longer...functional.

Don't farm weld nice stuff, just sayin'.

As we all know, if that trailer had 3 axles that wouldn't be a problem

Reminds me of this famous cartoon...

I feel like I deal with that shit daily in construction!!!

Image saved.. sending it to my architect and engineer!!!

Sales it before he gets back to the dock, makes THEM load it on the trailer..hmm..

Shit.. maybe he's on to something... I feel this is one of those "watch and learn" moments...

Remove, rotate 90 degrees, reinstall.

That sounds like alot of work.. im thinking I have a buddy that I think would go this route.. he would bitch about it, buy another rig, hook the boat to it, pull the jack off completely, never unhook from said rig!! Problem solved!!

Always ready to hit the water.. AND, nothing to bust your knuckles on..

Fuk, I need new friends..lol
