Where did it go?

I took my impeller out of my water pump and part of it is missing. I'm trying to find it and can't remember what the inside of my oil cooler looks like. Will it fit through my oil cooler? If it fit through the oil cooler then it is in the motor. The piece that came off is about 1 inch by 1/2 inch. I am hoping it is stuck at the beginning of the oil cooler. Any tricks on how to flush it out? I got the oil cooler from Rex.

I found the missing piece. I pulled the plug that holds the anode? and there it was. The tubes are only about 1/4 inch so that was as far as it could go. The anode looks like it is doing it's job.

It was run for about 1.5 years. I know I should change it every year. I have 15 month old boy so it sat for a while. I could see where it sat compressed and it cracked. The rest of the impeller was fine.
