Has anyone done this? I Don’t see kits yet on Whipples site. Engine models too new?

I figured as much but the 500-525efi have had a whipple kit out for quite some time now. Guess these new 520-565 are too new and whipple doesn’t see a demand yet? Plus all the new high horse power outboards now probably takes a big bite out of the N/A engine sales.
You can turn a 520 into a 565 with just a few minor tweaks and $$.
Not sure I would do anything until the warranty is up.
I think you’re thinking 520 to 540. A 565 is completely different bore and stroke, as well as dress, harness, and dual computers.

This.
What is the uplift from a 520 to 600 at purchase? That might be a contributing factor..

And how would you know this?
You talk like you work for Mercury
Merc 520 vs Merc 600, about 15K.
And a Whipple is over $11k plus install it seems.
So adding it up front by getting a 600with warranty seems like an easy decision.
But the “Mercury Racing 565” is just soda king gorgeous. I honestly find that the sexiest motor I’ve ever seen. They don't have anything out yet. As Singleton posted. A 520 with E tops or Big tubes will make another 25-50hp. Plus a tune it will make 565.
Same with the 540. It will make 565 with a tune. 565 should make 585 with a tune. Main thing is extending the usable rpm range to swing another pitch.
