I am not looking to race, this is in my 2017 RV (Freightliner M2) and it is so de-rated that its not funny. I am also struggling with the Allison trans, I think my five year old could pick better shift points than they did. Like I said, not looking to race as I don't need to burn up the motor, just need to get it to run right instead of the total pig it currently is.

Thoughts?

I've read where Cummins can uprate the engine to the 360/800. I dont know what the cost would be though.

I've had great luck with Left Coast Diesel in Concord.

Check out fast Eddies in Dixon.
Not sure if they work on RV’s but they’re fairly close and they’re cool peeps. 😀

Have you worked with them before?

Looks like I need to make a few phone calls.

My biggest concern is that with an RV that big and heavy you can sustain a full pull much longer than you normally could in a pickup (exceptions of course....). I don't need to find out how to burn the turbo off the thing or melt the valves out of it....

I have been flat out climbing for extended periods of time with the AC on full, and 105 outside temp. The fan kicks in regularly when doing this but other than that nothing strange. That does bring up an interesting point though. We might be at 100% cooling capacity already.

Having to upgrade the cooling system before tuning would definitely add to the project cost.

Does it have DEF? Have you deleted? Part of the delete entails a controller and the ability to increase HP from 50-120hp. I'm running out the door, but I can send a couple shops you can talk to. Very few will delete for you on the up and up because of smog and the potential liability of the feds or state cracking down on them.

I would be fine with it and such but I do live in California. There are currently no smog certs due to the weight but my understanding is that is scheduled to change in the next two or three years. I would love to gain the 30%+ in fuel economy also.
Unfortunately probably not realistic in this case......

2017 Jayco Seneca 37TS

You probably already mentioned but what is the current rating
325/750 or the 360/800?
do you know what trans?
If allison 2500 you are maxed out on it already, allison 3000 and you could bump a bit, the deletes will be a problem, getting anyone to do in ca.

Good luck keep us posted

I have the 340/700 version. one of the issues is that the trans programing refuses to let the motor rev over 2000 rpm (yup, no joke), unless you manually shift it. I do have the 2500 trans.

Do you own one of these ?

I would look into a TCM programmer. You might find something that ditches the 2k limit.
