Ya Walt, the 4 mile trip is fine. Going up the hill was a bit of work for her, glad I have 5:13 gears. No dragging down the ramp, works really well around the ramp. Even dunked it, got the ramp good and wet, no issues. They work to and from the lake, although not a Daytona 26 we used our wrangler for years with our toon to go back and forth to windsor. Air bags in the back were a big help, although backing down the ramp when it was wet the toon would drag the jeep until it hit water which made things exciting.
Just to be safe, 1st time. Maybe overkill.Looks like in pic 2 he has a wheel chock attached to the tire. Don't see many people doing that at the ramp.
4.88's in mine, nothing better in low range getting a boat out of the water. Mine would get a little warm on the tow all the way up hill to the top of palo verde.Ya Walt, the 4 mile trip is fine. Do you have bags in the rear, or anything helping with tongue weight?Just to be safe, 1st time. Maybe overkill.
It does have red “accessory” pieces. My only problem with it is the color, while the color is really nice solo... In front of the eliminator I would like to see white or red/maroon. No spare on the jeep also, its all in the details! ... (just giving you a hard time, peace and love!)
I’m going to the top of palo Verde too. I found at 35 mph, 3rd gear was 2500, and temp gauge was creeping up. Dropped to 2nd at 3200 and temp went back down to normal. And it’s 68deg this morning.4.88's in mine, nothing better in low range getting a boat out of the water. Mine would get a little warm on the tow all the way up hill to the top of palo verde.
Nop, I put sumospring bump stops on the 2” extender cups. They just touch.Do you have bags in the rear, or anything helping with tongue weight?
We have a JKU on 35's with the Mopar (teraflex) 4" lift kit, and fox shocks. I've always been curious if it will launch the boat, mines a 28' Single I/O cat on a triple
This is just a temp deal. Waiting for my truck to be built. Fuck the color coordination, when I’m going a buck 10, I don’t see colors,,,,lol. My only problem with it is the color, while the color is really nice solo... Trailer brakes are my friend, stops better than no trailer.Looks Great!
how was it going down the hill?
up HILL usually isn’t a problem, It’s the STOP at the bottom on the HILL thats an issue !!!
