I received a bank card today with both my wife's name and mine on it for $1800. Pretty surprising we qualified as neither one of us has lost any work hours, and make a solid middle class living.

My wife was out of work several months in 19 so we scraped in. I'll be delaying filing our 20 taxes until we get the next round and may file an extension to see if more is coming. We won't get a cent once we file for 20 as my wife got a nice raise with her new job. We're saving to redo the deck at our house so it's sitting in an account for that.

My wife mentioned that during the first round, some of her co-workers got cards with instructions that they had to be used at a certain bank. There was no problem drawing on it, but funds were coming from a bank (I think it was BofA). So when we received this one, we looked for directions to use it. We could find no indication that the card was connected to any bank whatsoever. Weird. Haven't tried to actually use it yet.

Not wanting to deal with the Debit Card and tracking the account balance, just took it to the bank, handed the teller the card and asked it be placed in my checking account.
