Buddy got his $1,800 today.

Does he need it? Nope. He did happen to say thank you to me and all the other taxpayers for his last-minute IRA contribution, so that was nice.🤬

There are people all around me getting stimulus, PPP, extra unemployment and now we are on round two and I will get nothing again. I didn’t care until I heard the incarcerated were getting stimulus checks and then I got pissed. IMO if the incarcerated get it then they should give it to everyone who filed a tax return. Giving it to people that are locked up is a slap in the face to people who pay taxes regardless of their income.

If we get anything I'm getting a new g26 for sure.

Maybe i should save it...My wife got laid off 2 months ago from a huge company after 16 years that shipped 400 jobs to India. Looks like we are about to test unemployment for the first time ever.

Nah...I saved and prepared I'm getting a new gun...hahaha
Not a real glock fan. Good simple reliable gun though. I have a g20 for a camp woods gun. Considering a g48 as a carry also being I can target shoot it too but I’m a gun for every purpose guy.
Gonna keep my 1911 as target g20 for camping and a carry gun to be decided. Each has its single purpose

My G26 was nice until it fell over overboard that time.

I hear what you are saying. However $75000 and living in Los Angeles, you are still pretty much in the poor house if u are a recent homeowner and have to pay for your own car/ or medical/ have a family and your probably not able to save much. And you probably paid 30% on that money to taxes.
$75k in oaklahoma you might be living pretty good. I think it should have been a higher threshold. I’m ok with no handouts at all, “maybe you should have been smarter with your money” -LOF, can apply to all the people who are claiming they can’t make it without $600.
So in your example 1 person in LA is living above their means. Meanwhile 1 person is In Oklahoma where they can afford to live.

So the government should candle the person living above their means. Got it thanks.

BTW this is going to hurt us much more than it will help us.

I believe in saving for a rainy day. I don’t expect anyone to help us.

At $75k I agree, but $600 isn’t moving the needle.

Your example was someone over the $199k threshold in 2019, that is now bringing in little to no income. That is different than $75k.

At $200k If you don’t have at least 6 months worth of living expenses in reserve or stuff to quickly liquidate to get there, stop buying shit and save son money, ESPECIALLY if you live in LA. If you are struggling in LA because you want or need to live here, I would say that is not the rest of the country’s problem. Everyone has challenges, LA isn’t special.

If you are $600 away from being homeless in LA and your household brought in $200k last year, you probably should move (barring some crazy unforeseen financial challenges).

For someone in that category to actually have my attention and sympathy I’d expect to see 5 year old phones, and 10+ year old vehicles, etc. We both know that isn’t the case by and large.

I don’t think we’re looking at this the same.

I said I was fine with no handouts. I don’t agree on the low threshold for tax paying citizens. If your going to give out money, give it back to those who paid in, worked for it. Or don’t give it back at all. I would have pushed for a tax break in lieu of a useless cash payment.

Why should someone get $1200 when they made $50k and someone who made $75k get nothing?

Nobody should have got anything. In a way I think some people need to experience struggle and know what tuff times really are. In the long run it will help people become more responsible financially. And make people pay a bit more to politics and stop voting for people who fuck them over.

I used to live above my means and thought I had it figured out. Then I had 2 life setbacks and was close to loosing everything. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Always pay yourself first. If you make $1000 per month and your expenses are $900 you don’t have $100 to spend. You put $100 in your savings.

A couple at my wife’s tennis club are very well off. She and her husband have seperate accounts, hers showing almost no income as hubby makes all the money pays the bills and taxes. They are probably worth we’ll into the 9 figures

She got a check.
Does she do work with trans-gender Pakistanis?

It comes in a 9mm. I just checked so I wouldn't be lying to you. Several You tubes on it, same size as the standard shield I believe. I saw the shields awhile back and don't remember what cal it was but the slide was very nice, This past Saturday the gun shop said they've been selling like hotcakes in the .380, mostly to women.

$2400 just dropped in my account.
Insane since the wife and I both increased our wages over $15,000 each this year and I’m eligible for a bonus of up to 14% of my pay.

Not enough for my RV carport so we will just put it away for vacation money or add to our oh shit fund. Maybe buy Apple stock.

I have been feeling for years now that so many people have been born into an entiltement enviroment. They have been taught that this Country or ? owes them, food, health care an education, because of bad luck, unforseen events etc. I guess in short We/Someone owes them a "Free Ride"

I have always felt this is like "Respect" Respect is not pinned on your chest when you are born, You need to go out and earn it!! ( ARE YOU LISTENING =NFL?)

People are always Pissing and Moaning about becoming a Socialist Society. BECOMING?

I said it last time. I don’t exactly need one but I wouldn’t mind one either. My thing is this, yes the wife and I do make a pretty good amount. Yes it puts us well over the 230k or whatever the number was, but here’s the deal... we spend a lot too. House payment and Child care alone we are talking 6k a month. C’MON MAN!!

I’m going to have to disagree. I spent more on this house than chino but I’m hoping I’ll have a lot more equity when I sell this one. So I spent more to hopefully one day make more. As far as spending on toys and junk, we have done really good in that department the last five years. We basically have zero Debt other than the houses and boat. Nothing else has payments and we don’t use credit cards anymore. Child care, well my wife makes more than I pay so I don’t know, that’s the tough one. Private school that’s just to get the kids ahead. I’m more of a takes Money to make money guy. That’s why I don’t mind dropping the 6k for my cwi.

I’m just joking. My family and I are doing great and we are very fortunate. I hope anyone who’s struggling can use this money to help. In all honesty I’m not a rich person but I told my wife the first time, if we get a stimulus we need to give it to a family that needs it. As long as I’m able to keep working I’m happy. It’s all I know how to do.

I'll take the $... I don't need it and I can survive with out it but it is helping our single income family. What it is doing is its paying for a portion of the extra costs of having my 3 kids and wife at home 24/7 (food/utilities)... My utilities have jumped probably 50% compared to last year (electric/internet speed upgrade/water). Also I am still paying full JUCO tuition while my 19 year old is distant learning and my 12 and 6 year old kids 3 hours a day of actual distant learning vs 6 hrs a day of in class, so I just figure I am getting some of that back. What the $ isn't giving back is my bonus structure based on my sales which has consistently been $6-10k every 6 months... But I am in sales and I am not really bitching about that because I am just happy I am still pulling a check and not waiting for Gov't assistance, for that I am grateful. But on the other hand, my 19 year old was able to pay off her car in 6 months due to the $600.00 per week she was getting in the beginning... She was working part time..15 hrs a week $12.50 per hour... still rubs me the wrong way as I could see countless kids in the same situation getting $9k during that same period that really didn't need it... not my decision on that..... Though I was happy for her to have a 2018 car paid off... she was cheated out of the chance to feel the pinch of life and responsibility.... she'll end up paying for it later with higher property taxes when she buys a home or fuel tax...

You are on the "Right" path, VIC.

BUT!! I'll bet you $100.00 if you and your Wife sat down some evening and wrote down Every dime you spend and Where,How and On What You could cut out a couple Hundred $'s Or More easily. When forced to Look Hard at Stupid B.S you spend money on each month it is not hard to make cuts.🤔

There's is no such thing as free money from the government.
Those that get the check great.. but it will come back on you tax time in a few years..
Those of us that don't get will still get ucked and pay back money we didn't get..
Its just how it works.

Lol we literally just did that. I’ve cut out some weekly spending habits to save about 400 a month. I’m saving that every month until I have enough to buy a truck. I kick myself every morning for not buying @J&k x-flight truck a few months ago.
