Community, Poncho and all those that made this rescue come together are some of the best people I have never known. In this world full of shit right now you are all truly Gods people. :)
Thank you,
I can already tell he is going to be a great companion, looking forward to many great adventures to come.....Community did the heavy lifting here and I owe him a great big serving of gratitude for filling a hole that I didn't realize was so big till now.

haha. Cant get much more relaxed than that
My Sis said he cruises around the house with her never underfoot just watching, her and her husband think he is a great dog. They used to have a marine retail store with 3 service bays and their dog went to work with them every day for 10 years, she was a sweetheart. My Sis was devastated when she passed and has not been able to get another dog since, kind of hoping Huck changes that. 👍

Looks like I have me a water dog. 👍 Little Sister said they haven't been able to keep him out of the pool till yesterday. Brother In Law was trimming palm tree's and Huck stayed in the pool the whole time till all she could see was the top of his head. Wore himself out and her words "He avoided that

pool the rest of the day".

:p

They say he sits next to the pool everyday till he get's permission to go in. Started with a life vest and now no life vest and leaps from the side to retrieve the tennis ball, air dog. 👍
My Brother in Law has little patience for dogs that don't mind, messaged me this morning and said "you got yourself a Bad Ass Dog"
The internet on this boat is horrible, not going to bother trying to fix the errors.

Huck and I finally made it to Mass (Home). Flying a dog in cargo is not a simple procedure, if anyone here is thinking of doing it message me. They turned us away the first day because the vet did not add her accreditation number on her form that did not have a place for it, they said she should have known...Very hard to not rage out on the guy. Here's Huck going to the airport the first and second morning with me, already bonded like we were together for years.

So after getting turned away I rebooked both flights, hotel and rental cars. Called the vet and she was off till Friday, this was Wednesday morning. Hadn't slept in my bed in 3 months and staying in a hotel with a new to me dog I was pretty frustrated and trying not to go completely fucking ballistic on someone. At this point I had thousands invested and no idea when we would get home.

To say Huck is a good dog would be understatement, everyone that has come in contact with him thinks he is awesome. In 5 days time I can't move without him watching and following me.He goes to sleep on his bed and doesn't move till I am making a cup of coffee in the morning. Spent the day getting my yard in shape and he followed and watched the whole time, teased him with the blower.😁 I had him on the leash to keep him from jumping in the lake and coming in the house wet and dirty, took the leash off and he was in the water minutes later.🤪

I had everyone laughing around the fire last night telling them how my Sister who had him for 3 weeks was giving me his napping instructions, those who know me know I stay pretty busy and poor Huck was not going to see any naps

We are having a blast, no need for a leash he keeps me in sight........This is a Bad Ass dog, best dog I ever has was an Aussie and Huck is almost a reincarnation of that dog, we are at the point of visual signals after 6 days.

Update on Huck, he has settled in and chilled out so much I was worried about him, spent 750 at the vet yesterday so they could tell me he's a great dog. This dog is amazing, Everywhere I go people say where is Huck?....He's welcome every place I take him.

This is "THE POST OF THE YEAR"!!

Honestly, probably the "THREAD OF THE YEAR"!

Cool as hell!! Sounds like you have found your new best friend, and likewise for Huck!!
Absolutely,
Interesting how I adjust plans to include him or accomodate him before I commit to things now, he dosen't care what we do as long as he with me. Over at my friends place last night, goes around and say's hi to everyone then comes and lays alongside me, he is the epitome of a chill dog.

Hey. Been a minute. I am glad he has worked out. I was sad to see him go but I know he is well taken care of. Give me a call sometime. New cell is 480-930-6502.

Merry Christmas from me and the Huckster. Just spent a month in Alaska and got lucky and found a seat on a charter plane so i could be home for the holidays. Huck was a complete gentlemen with my Wife while I was gone, he goes to a killer doggie day care every day she is at work and has wormed his way into the workers hearts.
Thank you Gary for bringing this wonderful dog into our lives

that good looking dog has some interesting colors. If your curious about breed ? I've used wisdom panel for my two rescue's and found out they are a mix of 7 different breeds. I gave a copy to there veterinarian, he was kinda amused...

..
Wisdom panel was a stocking stuffer from the Wife, Huck is a 100% Hienz 57 Mutt, when he acts up I remind him he's part Beagle.

What A Great Thread!

Thank You for sharing!

from the 1st pic posted Huck looked like an Awesome Gift !
Thank you,
He's a natural pleaser, I don't have to get too crazy with discipline, he hates when i'm upset with him. Cracks my Wife up he usually comes over and lays his head in my lap after he's been scolded, impossible to stay mad.

Your dogs DNA similar to my 2 dogs. On the home owner insurance do not insure list they hit all the points. I carry an Umbrella on them & House...

I never saw this, I had a Wiemer that took a chunk out of a neighbors dog, the vet reported my dog to the town and I got a letter in the mail that my dog was on some sort of probation and my Wife had to prove that he was insured, not real sure how that played out but never heard another word.

I got me a kick ass dog, haven't been home much since I got him but he has been a best friend for my Wife. This dog has the kindest soul and has zero need for training, he just knows what's expected.

He goes to a kick ass daycare and they post pics daily, sent me this today.

Barely 2 years old this boy is riding shotgun with me for a while.

Had a party last night out back, I always tell my friends bring your pups if you want.
One of my good friends is a 1% full patch Outlaw, he's a serious Bad Ass and of course his dogs are too.
His pit decided to light Huck up and took a piece of skin from each front leg.
Everyone is screaming and trying to get them apart, I watched Huck go from victim to seriously fucking up that pit, it seemed like slow motion in my head.
Hucks last move was taking the pits upper jaw in his mouth and pinning his head to the ground.
Told Mike and Tina to quit apologizing Huck more than held his own.
Grew up on a farm and we always had a pack of dogs that scrapped daily with each other, just how it was.
I have zero concerns with Huck taking care of himself, Wife is still going on saying I had no idea he could be that mean.
Proud Dad moment for sure.

He's the best dog I've ever had, that bar was set by the Aussie I had for 9 years, never really wanted another dog after her thinking nothing else would measure up.
