Needless to say Vegas is totally different now.... and not really liking the change that's occurring.. I was born and raised in La Puente, cruised whitter and Legg Lake, partied in norwalk, El Sereno.... I understand lots of forms of ghetto..
This weekend was by far a disappointment...
Impromptu DJs for families/cultural crowds.. People walking around with Bottles of liquor... with no shame in taking Señor Frog style shots in front of families, general public, intruding on personal space.... and the..... POT... WTF ... I get it...its decriminalized, but its like having someone smoke a cigar while next to you at the bar.. just choking me while I'm trying to have a good time.. maybe because I'm 46 and my perception is changing... but seeing a family of 6 people passing a blunt in front of 3 elderly people while waiting for their car at valet, is not my experience with Vegas.. ill take the titty cards being passed to a 12 yr old in front of a priest any day...

Vegas needs to get back to normal Vegas prices. I don't want to pay it but I will to keep it a little more clean with less trash (people and actual trash).

I heard a story from people that were checking in at the Wynn last summer and a couple checking in had all of their travel items... in trash bags.

As I get older, I'm starting to realize why it is attractive to spend a little more money on houses, trips, etc. than you probably should. Because as you go down in income brackets, people on average spend more and more recklessly. For example, trashiest people I've ever been around at an event... first 10 rows at a Chargers game. I thought I spent a lot on tickets for my income... boy was I wrong.

People will spend a weeks check on something, while you'll only spend a days check (or less). It's tough to outspend riff raff that have zero financial responsibility.

Less security to deal with trolls - less maintenance staff to keep stuff clean- certain hotel towers not in use so looking like they are going down hill fast. It was just remodeled before Covid. That is the place I usually stay when visiting customers. I am a Marriott guy, so it is either that or the Cosmo for points and upgrades.
Almost all my customers in Vegas are running @40-66% normal staffing levels.

Right now its snow bird season in Laughlin, I heard the casinos spent some money remodeling and cleaning it up during Covid closures. Havent been back over yet but the traffic going in and out are seniors right now.

Off the strip casinos, and you're only dealing with locals. Westin is an interesting one, I'm curious to see how that goes. Vegas is starting to open back up little by little so hopefully it gets better.

I would look at places like Suncoast, Red Rock, and Aliante. They all have nice golf courses nearby, and way less trouble.

The Avi with it's big beach can get ghetto in summer. Many thugs swim with all their cloths on.

The snowbird winters are starting to decline as that generation dies off. Quartzite is feeling it too.

Huge off roader presence in Laughlin in the winter. Especially the Avi with its massive parking, cheap gas station, convenient free staging, camping and where you can simply drive over the Aztec road bridge to freedom in Az.

Az Leos leave SXS's and MX riders alone.

Several routes to Oatman; Massacre trail and Candy Ass.
We love heading out in the Can Am and lunch & drinks at the Oatman Hotel.
