Then Add in their music(?) . How much can they be spending?
This is what I saw.. People that have such a hard on to smoking pot and do it at home with a group of homies, can now do in on the strip in Vegas... who wouldn't want to do that if you are that hooked. These guys weren't spending money... just hanging out, listening to music... just a backyard gathering on Freemont street

Laughlin was mentioned, I wonder if the Colorado Belle is the first of the casualties
and more hotels/casinos are to follow. What a shame, maybe Havasu will start building a few more “resort” type casinos, keep them clean and safe, then heck, who needs to go anywhere else 😆

Yeah, we live here and when we go to The Strip (not too often) we don't seem to see much of the stuff talked about here. Maybe because we are always headed to a particular spot instead of milling around the Strip.

I do feel its everywhere. No place seems to be immune or better than it was 10, 20, 30 years ago. We were in Manhattan/ Hermosa Beach not too long ago and both my wife and I said to eachother, "do you remember it being this worn out and dirty looking? " .

We are just blessed we don't live on the Strip. Hahaha. There is a ton to see here woth beautiful country surrounding the area.

The high end casinos are still nice. But yes, I agree they need to bring prices back up!!!!

Same here, we never go down to the strip, mainly because I am up and down the strip for work and it's not where i want to spend my free time. Haven't really seen much difference during the day. But i have heard stories on the weekend it gets a little crazy. Did get a good pic to start the day today though

I just hope when we go back to Vegas in May that the strip clubs are in full swing again. (Saying this on behalf of my wife of course, I go for her enjoyment) 😇
If the stripper is wearing a thong on her face as a mask, is it still considered a fully nude club? 🤔

Don't know. Will let you know next week. It's a work trip so a round on the way up and a round on the way back.

Have golfed different courses in Vegas a few times. Could actually stay another day and golf Spanish Hills CC on Monday but I don't have that much time to waste. lol.
Over a decade ago I had a great time at the Primm Golf club. We played the desert course and it was in great shape. I had found a brochure in the hotel room that had an advertisement for a shuttle to take us from Buffalo Bill's to the course and back. The concierge had never heard of it before but he made the call. The next morning a black limo with glass packs rolls up to the valet rumbling and thumping out of the pipes.
Hands down the best limo ride ever! Our driver was one of the cart guys! 🤣. He set us up with the head pro and we had first class service. Club house and grounds were beautiful.

very very little... table minimums are a little higher at ceasars than they used to be...which on roulette means $5 chips..that usually weeds them out, but you don't have to look far to find the riff raff... Ceasars needs to jack prices back up...i know they need the bodies in there but damn its turning into a dump quickly.

I went ballistic on our host over my wife's birthday....gangbangers were staying 10-12 deep in a "suite." Loud yelling, arguments, and then the cracked out fool trying to force the door in while she was asleep and I was at the tables. That went over like a lead balloon and we watched while security escorted them all off property at 2am. Thats what vegas is right now, a cesspool of section 8 trash spending their "gubmit" money and yaking on their obama phones. Its a very uneasy feeling walking around the strip or anywhere else after dark....i used to never give it a second thought.

With the new Raiders stadium...it'll be interesting to see what happens. My in-laws bought seat licenses/season tickets etc....idk why they are raiders fans but they are die hard....and oddly they don't have a felony criminal record 😂

Most expensive room in Vegas is a free room.

100%....I haven't "paid" for a room in years but they get their money from us. Before the plandemic we went to a lot of concerts there, and i like to play roulette. We fly through vegas to go to the lake so it's usually a stop over either coming or going. I'd be better off staying in a hotel but wheres the fun in that lol

This brings up an odd thought... I wonder if there was a migration of Oakland residents to Vegas due to the raiders moving to vegas...

I'm sure a handful will but in reality I'd say a lot of "well off" fans bought seats/season tickets, and second homes/condo's....

When was the last time you hit the slopes? You think a $200 ticket is gonna keep the degenerates out? Oh boy 😂

I'm a Mammoth regular, I'm there all the time.. It's not so much the lift ticket prices but also the price of Lodging with all the fees. Plus food and rentals.. I think the stereotypical modern day Mammoth regular is an American-Asian family from Irvine that has 2.3 kids, great tech jobs and an Audi SUV.. lol

My husband is on a job at a casino in Laughlin so we’ve been staying down there off and on since June. It has gotten really bad there as well. I’m shocked at some of the things I’ve seen happen in the hotels and parking lots. I would recommend Harrahs or River Lodge, but stay away from the hotels at the north end.
Was always a fun place , we stayed at RS years ago

It was closed last year. All fenced off. I haven't stayed there myself but I've been through there for many years since I was a kid. I think the novelty of the paddle wheeler isn't enough to make people go stay there, though I do recall it was super cheap. It seems like a lot of that old look and feel that made the casinos all different and unique is disappearing. Sams Town, Edgewater, etc. they all have their megatowers today.

I’ve heard Bootleggers Bistro is a bit of old Las Vegas. Has anyone tried it?

Golden Gaming bought the Aquarius, Edgewater and the Colorado Belle a few years back and had started to do a remodel on the Belle when Covid hit, Everything was halted and the last I heard even they weren't sure what was in the future now.

The European SUV people are the best to watch get stuck... after denying they need help. Property manager of buddy's condo complex in Mammoth was bullshitting with us about how terrible the "I have an AWD European car" people are. They constantly get stuck and destroy their cars when the chains rip off.

Got to watch two of these situations occur on their driveway hill. One was on security camera so my buddy could save it. Sparks everywhere 😂 Buddy sent it to the property manager and he said "Oh no wonder there was so much plastic debris when I was plowing this morning!"

Laughlin is "On The River" Lower Key than Vegas. The "BELL" owns a Valuable Piece of Colorado River Real Estate, what ever they do at the right time, they always own the Dirt, on the Water!!

The Colorado Belle is sinking, No Pun intended. The lower level rooms were closed of before covid so they could put steel bracing up to keep the upper floors from collapsing. With COVID it wasnt worth the investment to try and rebuild it.

Yeah its been closed for awhile now. I liked Buffalo Bills better than Whiskey Petes or PrimmValley but they must have their reasons on closing it, even though it is the newer of the three there.

Vegas is the American version of Tijuana... I don't go for the cleanliness and relaxation...lol

Yeah it's funny that in my lifetime it has always been "Sin City". It is cool to read all the different versions of what ruffles our feathers. One hates pot smoke, others hate rap music, some hate loud partying.

When my kids were little I was not a fan walking them thru a group of adults taking shots, smoking anything , foul launguage and just basically being what "I" felt was not cool around a young family. I have have to avoid that in all the places I love. The Beach, The River, Glamis etc.

It sounds like the options to avoid that in Vegas are getting slim and that is sad becasue at one time my kids loved it and we could have a great time never seeing all the garbage.

I'm not saying I am above anything or anyone I'm just not rolling my 11 year old daughter thru a buch of drunk, stoned , loud idiots reagardless of thier race or where they live.

Herbst I believes own the property and they were going to remodel it, then it was put on hold with no date now. Was a fun place to stop and I agree its better than the others.

Herbst owns the casinos (if that's the case), but I believe Primm still owns the land.

An outstanding group called Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns appeared at Bootleggers prior to COVID. They're some of the best musicians in Vegas. About a 15 piece group, funk rock and soul. Hoping they begin appearing again, soon.

Mammoth has the gear factor too. You need $1,000 worth of gear and clothing just to enjoy a $175 lift ticket.
Isn't it uncomfortable too for those with less body fat to stay warm? Most likely won't hear rap music at a swim meet either.

I did Four Seasons last time I was out there before Covid. Needless to say, I was highly impressed and it has ruined my wife and wallet now from this point forward!

Take her to 4 seasons manele bay and you will be ruined for life lol

I had to fly out of Vegas the day after the Raiduhhs home opener last fall. Cheap hotel rooms and even cheaper airfare, attracted the Raider nation from all over the US. Talk about gang bangers and degenerates, and low lifes. They came for the party not necessarily to attend the game. Always disliked Vegas the few times I had to go there for work, now I have sworn I will never set foot again in the Las Vegas airport.......

Herbst went BK on the Primm properties and no longer own them, long time ago.

I was only repeating what Done-it-again said about the ownership of the casinos, clarifying that Primm still owned the land (which I believe is still the case). I honestly don't know who owns the casinos but who ever does isn't doing much with them.

So if Buffalo Bills re-opens , would it be safe to ride the roller coaster ? Years ago it was sketchy.

I am a pussy when it comes to coasters but we stayed the weekend of the 2001 super bowl and naturally got hammered. I couldn’t stay off that thing. Liquid Strength. Same thing at the Nascar Cafe when they had it at the Sahara. And New York New York One. Gotta be liquified to go on. While in line I always start singing Roller Coaster by the Ohio Players..... drunkenly.

The coaster hasn't run in years. It would require a refurbishment.
Rumors circulating Buffalo Bills is currently undergoing some renovation. Rumors.

$fiddy dollar room rates. Cheaper than a motel 6 in the IE, why stay home? Not my words, more than one Casino manager told me this last year. Most are begging for a consensus to raise the room rates across the board.

Last time up there mid week had a Harrah room for $15. I only go there and spend the night after seeing my cardiologist in town.
