Wi-Fi in the house is great, however go in the garage and there’s no signal. So looking at gotta Wi-Fi extender.
Anyone have any experience, or know if a good one worth buying?
Looking at the Rextender and seems pretty good for 50$ based upon reviews but figured to ask here first.

I have Linksys mesh 3 node. I had the same problem as the house is a long rancher and the garage is detached and a fair bit away. Solved It.

Nice benifit is that the connection is faster and doesn’t degrade as you get further away like the wireless out of the modem.

I did a NetGear Orbi. Wasn’t enthusiastic about it wanting to be my exclusive network devices but the extender for WiFi works well.

Not a huge fan of NetGear but I bought it off Amazon and it was highly rated. I got the main + 1 satellite, they make a main + 2 satellites as well.

I previously had weak coverage on one side of the house but now it’s good enough to stream on the TV on that side which we previously couldn’t do.

Look into mesh.

You put repeater nodes everywhere…I have 4 in a 4200sf house.
Automatically switches you to strongest node.
Super easy setup.
No dead spots.

I installed a "wired" extender on the side of my garage, in hopes that it would send wifi out to my shop 100' away. It does. As was mentioned in the mesh thread, it's a different wifi than in the house. My phone auto switches, but often, when I go back into the house, it stays on the "outside" wifi, which is now very weak. I'll notice my phone being real slow to load a picture, etc., and then go on and manually switch the wifi to the in house wifi. If the mesh would suit your needs, it would be better.

These work great. Have one in the garage and others in the house. Easy install and it creates a new network to connect.

I had a router and extender before switching over to a mesh. I have the AmpliFi setup in my 3,000sqft single story house and I have great signal not only in the house/garage but also my whole 1/2 acre lot. I believe it is the best way to go.
