I’m thinking the Colorado Belle closure is more likely do to being condemned and not the covid excuse as stated.
This is just my opinion from the looks of things. The river-walk deck (which is the ceiling/roof of the lanai rooms below) is actually collapsing. Reinforcement was put in place as an attempt to prolong the inevitable.
I would suspect the money involved bringing this place back up to code requirements to be astronomical and I’m sure the boat structure has many issues as well.
Just wondering how long this thing will sit and continue to fall deeper and deeper into major disrepair until a forced demolition.
Shame to see such an iconic place just fall into ruins, Hell, it’s not really that old either, 1980 I think.
I’ve been boating this area for 30 years and have stayed at every one of these hotels here along the strip (except the Pioneer… lol) and I have to say, my fondest memories have been at the Belle.
