Windy here right now
But to be safe. I think they should you off. Wouldn’t want to take any chances and have a fire. I’m mean. You know what I mean.Strongest gust at my house since midnight has been 33mph, so far it's a big nothing just like last week
Luckily Edison pulled their head out of their ass and have set up our grid to only shut off the part that is above ground even though that part has been upgraded to insulated wires, there really is zero reason to turn off any part of our grid now.But to be safe. I think they should you off. Wouldn’t want to take any chances and have a fire. I’m mean. You know what I mean.![]()
Just got an alert for a fire off Newport and WinchesterBlowing hard in Menifee. At least as hard as it has blown this year.
Shit.
Yes but it was coming off the ocean. Barely notice any N/NE wind at all, if any. Early morning walk at beach had almost zero wind(glassy water) or barely a breeze to hold up the wave. Nice curls that were tubed.Blowing pretty good in North SD County.
We had 2 fires in the same area on the same windy night. Some vagrants are starting these fires.
I leave a full bottle on them and take the hats off when not in use.Fak! Both my outdoor propane heaters got blowed over and wrecked.
Spoke too soon. Riverside fire was a blown transformerBut to be safe. I think they should you off. Wouldn’t want to take any chances and have a fire. I’m mean. You know what I mean.![]()
News Flash from San Diego ---- According to Gail E., commenting on the new Lilac Fire, these fires are Trump's fault, so far Cal Fire hasn't denied it![]()

This was on Facebook, this poster was properly flogged. The only thing I find useful about FB is the Brushfire Partyline San Diego/North County & Calfire/San Diego.
My sons ex-MIL was affected by that one, didn't lose anything but some stressfull moments getting the horses out. She's a bit east of the Mission/hwy76 movie theater. This was on Facebook, this poster was properly flogged. According to Flightradar 24, the plane surveilling the fire this morning is showing it's exact location.

On another serious note, this new Lilac Fire is a flashback moment for many residents of that area --- 12/7/17, another Lilac Fire, ignited during a similar Santa Ana weather event, turned out real ugly.

That Rice Fire was in Oct 2007, same time as the Witchcreek/Gueijto Fires that took us out. Seemed like all of San Diego was on fire during that horrible period. My sons ex-MIL was affected by that one, didn't lose anything but some stressfull moments getting the horses out. My golf buddy lost his home in the (rice?) fire that went by Pala Mesa/Reche rd.
I was living in San Bernardino and working out our Vista office at my last job when this happened. I was heading south on the 15 the night it started and drove by watching that mobile home park BURN when that fire was ripping down through the San Luis Rey riverbed/wash. Last night had to be a terrible case of DeJaVu for those residentsThis was on Facebook, this poster was properly flogged. I had no trouble re-adjusting to normal life following my Army stint during the Viet Nam war. Now 17 years after watching our home burn, live on TV, my anxiety level is pinned on the limiter during these damned Santa Ana's.I was living in San Bernardino and working out our Vista office at my last job when this happened. Yes, the Clay FireIs there a fire in Riverside area?
The Lilac fire in 2017 caused us to pack up. It was a couple of miles from our house when the wind changed direction, and the fire headed directly west going by us. Luckily the winds were not too bad this morning and the fire was taken care of relatively quickly. I also agree that this has to be arson when you have multiple fires starting in different locations at the same time. This was on Facebook, this poster was properly flogged. Malibu showplace/film location listed at $8.95 million
If this dramatic showplace in Malibu just listed at $8.95 million looks familiar, it’s because it has appeared in more than 20 films, television shows and music videos.www.latimes.com
