I’m chasing all my traffic control signs down the street here in San Bernardino. Had to delay paving until the winds slow way down. But my landscapers are hunkering down and planting trees and running irrigation.

It was a little breazy in Laughlin at 5 this morning. Door strap stretched and broke, slammed drivers door forward and dented the door. sounded like all the door glass shattered. Fricking loud.

Lol opposite. I'm in apple valley, had to push a job in Fillmore untill thursday. Winds were supposed to 40MPH today and over 30 tomorrow. Have a guy working in Camarillo today, said he is chasing shit all over the job site.

Yeah it’s pretty windy here in Lakewood. Saw a news article about some wires down in bixby knolls.

Blowing like crazy in Long Beach. A big gust just came through and blew the windshield out of my crane. By some act of God it didn't break when it hit the ground.

No extreme winds in LHC today. Calm until about 1pm. Then just a little breezy for a while.

Amazing, instead of maintaining their equipment, SoCal Edison just disrupts their Service. And they get away with it. What a bunch of BS!

It’s been pretty gnarly here in Newbury Park / Thousand Oaks. Kids school is cancelled as there is no power to a lot of the city. Luckily our neighborhood has power. Major gusts, lots of toppled trees. City is gonna be renamed 993 oaks if this keeps up

Common sight around Simi.
In spite of the local Simi news reporting all power is back on at least 30% isn’t.

We were down about 8 hours and our generator was fantastic and super quiet. Quietly purred and burned just under 2 gallons on econo mode.

Did loads of laundry wash and dry, microwave food, internet, sat TV and streaming, garage door & freezer, all the house appliances and wall outlets hotted up.
Wife is zoom conferencing for long hours. Kids doing tests and on line classes into evening.
We did fine.
In spite of those telling us we were doing it all wrong and second guessing us, we did it all right.

Guy down the street ran a block shaking Firman with extension cords and you could hear It through the entire tract. Damn near feel it too. MFSOB those things are loud.

Our set up is money well spent.
I'm so happy theirs going to be no living with me now.
I'm going to default to the Jehovah's Witness of generator owners.

Fun little wind story, my Pitbull which has never even chewed up a sock his whole life even as a pup;py was home alone yesterday. The wind blew over all my paddleboards which happen to be just outside of our daughters bedroom window which he is very protective of, her door was closed and i think he thought a intruder was in the room with her from the noise and he chewed through the bottom of the door jam, maybe a 2x2 piece of dryway at door and all the trim he could. Plus he ruined the door knob.

Me and my wife were camping up there in the 90's when the same high winds came up in the middle of the night. We could hear the branches dropping left and right, ended up sleeping in the car. Went by Millers Landing the following morning and was amazed at how destructive those winds were. Their boat slips were all destroyed, twisted like little pretzels...
