If any of you guys like snorkeling my wife just dropped her cell phone right at the edge of the Windsor dock the furthest one out on the right side

I dropped my lighter on the Windsor dock today and my heart sunk for a while until I realized it didn’t fall in. I know exactly how she feels

Not a good club to be in but I am a member too. Kicked a new iPhone 4s off the back of my boat. It’s probably a rusted postage stamp by now.

I tried that rice trick with a phone once. I think it’s an old wives tale myself. :p Still had to buy a new phone.
Clearly, you had used basmati or other rice which did not attract the tiny phone-fixing Asians.

I dropped an iPhone 4 off the dock at Topock several years ago. I managed to find it with my toes in the muck. It stayed in a bag of rice over the weekend and was about 98% working. Work got me a new one anyway. Rice can work sometimes but I think it is dependant on several things.

The newer phones can survive a dunking.
