Seems like a stupendously bad idea.

I'll bet those are "shipping wheels" or something like that.
Nice tires and wheels to be installed at dealership.... ???

I hope it's just to ship in a connex. California Shipping in Stanton shipped some cool stuff some odd ways. Saw them roll an old Pete in on the brake drums!

Our friends kid uses tires like that to move his rock jeep around on a trailer . He gets a kick out of driving it around when he goes to places like king of the hammers . Then he puts the 44s back on . Haha

I don't get the dished wheel trend seems like it would be hard on the axles putting the wheel out there like that but I'm no expert. And really that's a lot of surface to shine after a carwash I wash my own vehicle and the boat requires enough shine time already. Don't need the truck to be even more shiny too.

I don't get the tow mirror thing either and I own a dodge too.

I have two trucks one for each of my 2 boats and zero EV's.

Only thing I have that runs on batteries is hand tools.

Good for you, I own one truck, second one is issued, along with gas, same result as an EV for me.

I guess they feel they dont need much clearance for the snow i see in the picture. Maybe its a prototype for a new style of snowplow

I don't know, I guess I'm a product of the early 2000's lifted scene when I had a 2500 Suburban on 42" swampers but I can't get into the "new looks". Give me a redicoulus lift on huge 40+" tires, I'm in.
😁 😁 👍

That’s when lifted trucks had tires! I miss those days and it still looks good to me. I remember that excursion wonder where it is now....

I was kid in SGV. Wed night cruise ~1970 Valley Blvd there was a (hugger orange?) K5 Blazer with 'uge tires , lifted, and a rope ladder to get passengers and driver in, with "Lunar Duner" in script on the back side windows...did anybody else ever see that thing around? I searched the internet but no images were found.

Yep. I remember when it was built and in Truckin' Mag. Was in S. Cal. then disappeared. It had sponsor stickers all over it, if you recall. Then I heard a story that the dude / shop that built it had a ton of sponsors to build it and the deal was he'd show it for a year or two. After like one show someone bought it for stupid money and it disappeared, sponsors non-to-happy. Last I heard it was in New York. I have fairly large photo (like poster size) a buddy took of it at a car show (I 'think' in Havasu) with a mini truck under it and two girls in thongs looking back at the camera. Always dug that thing. But I liked lifted and lowered trucks from that era. Always loved the MIC slammed duallys too. Pretty much useless except it'd be a fun toy.

Buying a truck for fuel economy.
The 1500 Chevy get better mpg than most suvs and some cars. To bad the ones that order them at dealership only order the short beds for inventory. I searched 30 dealers and they had 5 long beds and none with features I wanted so I bought another gas guzzling 2500. The 1500 long bed I traded in would get 22 mpg round trip to river. Now 15mpg with new 2500.
