WOW there area lot of parked planes

This i Kansas city and just one area of the airport. When i was driving in i must of saw a least a mile of them just lined up, windshields covered and engines covered

Good friend of mine is a supervisor in the engine shop for Delta in Atlanta. I was talking to him a couple weeks ago and he told me they (Delta) had over 560 planes parked, early retired over 100 MD88 and MD90's, and going to sell off their 18 777's.

What's the shelf life on jet fuel? They have to pump them dry before they sit for months.

I have been to FL and just got back from Cincinnati last night. Airports are dead and planes are parked all over the place.

I rented a car from Ontario airport a couple weeks ago and Avis didn’t have a lot sitting around I was kind of surprised.

There was a piece on the News recently that there are Crews that go each aircraft and run them through a set deal and check/run every aspect of each one and when complete go back and start the process over with every one. They have a large Power Cart they move from Plane to Plane.

I would think those planes just sitting around and not in operation is a bad thing. They should at least rotate them into what is flying. Just like anything else in life if it’s not used it goes to shit....

They are using the Del Mar fairgrounds for parking of rental cars. It's crazy how many cars are in there 6" between bumpers, 6" between doors.

American has at least 25 or 30 737 Max's parked around their base in Tulsa until Boeing can figure out something.
