There might be one with the typical peeling paint that looks like sheets of plastic coming off available. Another reason I stop by in GM vehicles.

My 2002 2500 HD, 6.0, 130,000 miles might be worth something these days.

I think Horizon Motorsports has a very nice one. Lowered and ready to rock with 60k miles I think.

My moms truck that just sits. 94 single rear wheel 4x4 with 70k orig and repainted long ago as BoatPI mentioned above. 100% stock with alcoas. Started peeling a month after the warranty expired. I put a mile on it here and there. Trying to get her to cash out on it now while the value is high so she can have one last nice new easy to drive for her ride.

I'm kinda surprised the one at Horizon is still there this long, when he had the black square I stopped and looked at it and that OBS was super clean. The only thing I can think not in its favor might be the color.

Flyby yours is an eye catcher rolling down the street, also shocked its still hanging around

In my opinion the older Chevy dually trucks only bring 1/2 the money of an equivalent 1/2 ton short bed.
Not sure why just an observation.

There seems to be 3 distinct markets for these. The super badass 30k dollar plus trucks, the clapped out 7k dollar projects and the middle ground 15-20k dollar trucks. I wanted to bag mine but it’s 22k parts and labor alone to do it right. I’ll pass.

Not for sale yet. Prob gonna be more like pondering offers until the right one sparks her interest. She loves that truck but its too difficult to maneuver parking lots for her.

Because they only appeal to maybe 10% of the market a 1/2 ton short bed does.

I’ve noticed that the obs dually trucks kinda max around the 20k range even if fully done up to the 9s. They’re cool to look at and easy to drop on the ground but not a huge market for them. No coincidence that truck above for 30k hasn’t sold.

The 01+ and 03+ (cat eye) trucks however I’ve seen 30-40s for some. Almost the same truck, similar interiors, etc but updated diesel motors and the 496 instead of the slug 350 and 454 options. Then there’s not a huge market newer years after that especially for lowered custom duallies. They’re far and few in the FB/Instagram groups.

As far as 1/2 tons it’s because the gmt800 is a solid platform and the bro lifted trucks are popular so they bring decent coin. Driving a crew cab long bed dually isn’t for everyone, it’s a giant pain in the ass as a daily.

I would consider selling my 03 496 dually but it is 4wd. I really just need a 1/2 ton now.

Could it simply be that they probably produced 100 times more crew cabs and Long Beds vs single cab short beds? 🤔

Let’s not forget that everyone with a relatively clean single cab short bed thinks it’s worth twice as much as it’s actually worth. including me.🤗

If that was the case and there was the same interest levels older duallys would be worth double at least.

Kay0tyk was spot on. The lowered duallys look great but are pretty much a giant novelty vehicle.

I've been eyeballing a 2000 Chevy Crew cab dually with 45000 miles on it. Its got the basic belltech 4/6 drop, solid shell on the bed and is really clean. Perfect cloth interior but It also has the typical shitty GM paint on the roof. Owner will take 25K for it. There's a 97 chevy CC dually with a Cummins 12valve diesel swap, the same shitty peeling paint, and worn out leather interior. Guy wants 35K for it. Then there's a nice 1996 CC dually that's totally stock with 75,000 miles on it and a perfect cloth interior and the same peeling clear coat GM paint. Guy wants 16K for it. I'm leaning towards the truck with 45,000 miles on it. That pewter one in Havasu looks really clean but I just can't get past the color and the fact that the dude wants a lot of money for it.

I own a 2000 CCSB 2500 w/ a stroked 7.4 and a 2002 CCLB w/ the 8.1. Both 4x4. The 2002 is such a better vehicle in every single way. The only thing the OBS truck has going for it is the nostalgia of the body style and it was the first vehicle i purchased for myself.

By the way, I checked the pewter one Preston has, it’s clean! And he only wanted 26k for it in june. I dig the pewter color. I seriously considered buying it lol.

It’s so clean, it’d Be worth wrapping it any color you want.

Should’ve kept your white one from years ago. That was a pretty clean dually if I remember.

hit up a “Brock Williams” on Facebook. he’s toyed with the idea of selling his or even trading. His stuff is 100% top notch.

he really doesn't want to get rid of it. That truck would be perfect if it weren't for the anemic 6.2L diesel and stick combo that truck has.

Here's one on FB. It goes along with your Chrysler powdered GM's. Or do you want a gasser so you can swap parts between it and the boat?

You can tell the driver door needs hinges repaired in the photo. I’m old so I’d have to shit can the current wheel tire set up and put on 16” Alcoa’s with Michelin tires.
