Need to repower my poontoon soon. Looking for a good used or rebuilt 150hp-250hp Outboard. What should I be looking for that won’t break the bank? Any leads would be great! TIA

Depends on how new you want. You can find an efi 200 for about 3k. A 225/250 Optimax maybe 6 to 8k.

Probably closer to the 3K amount. I only paid 10K for the boat with a 150 Force Outboard. Not sure how long this motor will last. It already has approx 700 hours on it, and I really don’t want to put any money into it. They weren’t the greatest motors even when new, and it’s approximately 25 years old now.

I have a really nice 200 mercury that I had on a GMT. I replaced it with a 250. We are close on price. I am in Havasu if your are interested. Its at Fallen Marine. Its a super solid motor.

3K can get you a nice 200 if your patient. I got a 96 200XRi for 3.5
