Hmmm. Why not one like this?

Its more fuel efficient, Lower insurance, less maintenance and its almost as fast? 😂

Those boats are soo cool! If I could add another to the fleet I would. I have always thought that the outboard makes those boats feel huge inside. Too bad I have an OB jet that fits the whole family

I’m looking for a flat/smaller v drive as well. I’m hoping to find someone with a flat, who’s looking for a open bow, full interior, V drive cruiser(family boat), Hallett cruiser and wants to do some horse trading. Anyone?

My buddy Bill owned it at one time. I never did see it run.
Yes I seem to recall that now. you were telling me that when you gave me the p.g. adapter. This boat is really well rigged. Built by the De Marco Bros. to circle race as I recall. Snout driven setup too. Real nice custom hardware.

I'm wondering, are small boats getting ready to make a resurgence? There seems to be much interest in Flats. Also the Goodtimes "19 Winger" thread in the Mold section makes me wonder? Wonder if any other industry guys see this?

This board never fails to be constantly reminding us how we're under constant societal manipulation by various governmental agencies and private institutions.
Yet rarely if ever mentions the recreational manipulative "Elephant in the room" perpetuated upon us by the boat manufacturers beginning in the late 90's towards increasingly larger and larger freshwater lake and river boats.
Each "Action" of step up in length, created yet another "Reaction" step up, to better manage the larger wakes of the the previous. Of course the other factors being "Keeping up with the Joneses" bling factor and the horsepower race to "Being the fastest on the lake".
For the manufacturers, the increase in size and power equating to an increase in both cost and profit.

The real question is, who do we blame ? 🥴 😂

IMO the prices of new boats has a lot to do with this...I think its really cool what Goodtimes is doing with those 19' wingers and I hope he sell a bunch of them to young eagar river rats. Lets keep the river fun, safe, and full of cool shit.

That's right! I did score the adapter for that boat, totally forgot about that! It is a good boat, you should get back to working on it lol

If you're thinking Nordic, Eliminator or Howard are about to build "normal size" boats again forget about it. Not going to happen. Modern day folks are way too high maintenance and fragile for the boats that were normal in the 60's. Plus a flat bottom is way too scary for the average person.

There's no resurgence, new trend or anything like that. You're just seeing more photos of what's already been happening for decades. Old dudes restoring old boats mostly...

When looking at a boat of this caliber I'm not sure the words "stored indoors" really need to be said.. :D

Not a flat bottom, but actually usable on the weekends and won't break the bank.

I'm not vouching for the boat, it's just a classified I approved tonight.

I definitely agree on the caliber !! I personally like knowing its been stored indoors, most race boats like this stay on the dolly trailer in an enclosed car trailer withe no climate control , sitting in the heat and cold ...

It's a super rare 4 strake narrow Biese. Quite controversial...
I knew that, but I thought I also heard it was sorta like the Maiden where there was more than one. 4 strake narrow boat may have been the predecessor to the little boat. What was Stevie in when he was killed in Parker?

was in angelfire and was in Bakersfield, had popped the cap and Steve Earle had it redone and freshened and it went into storage til I got it.RIP Stevie, such a loss to the boat racing community, he was such a nice guy and an amazing driver,I knew him but my uncle was very close and loved him, and he drove k-11 the force for my uncle for years.

Thanks, the boat is beautiful. My memory sucks, but years ago, probably 92ish, I was a member of the Arizona Navy which was the APBA affiliated club that did the races at Firebird and had a fair number of other recreational activities for the members. We had a Polar Bear deal at Pleasant on New Years Day, and I swear one of these, or something painted very similarly was there. Definitely not Stevie, but I wonder what that boat was. Jeff Conant probably knows. Hell, he probably has pictures.
