Would have loved to see that.
But
I was at Pirates Cove last Thursday and saw a Back Hawk maybe 50 ft off the deck cruising down the river towards Havasu.
Guy hanging out the side door and everything.
Never seen one that low and it was cool as hell!

Later that day, I could've sworn
(& I know my helo's)
I saw a Hind flying south over the lake.
I was on the 95 at the time, but nothing else in the US inventory has that shape.

Training in Yuma??

We’ve got a number of WW II aircraft flying out of Falcon Field here in Mesa, AZ

B-17, B-25, C-47 (DC-3), and a bunch of others including fighter planes, a trainer and some biplanes from WW I

There’s an individual who has a few hinds out of Dallas that we train with/against every year. The only ones flying in the country.

Love the 17 but the 25 Mitchell is my favorite

We have the Hind visit often. They bang the shit out of my hangar when the park. They use it for the bombing range for target type identification excersizes. The thing is pressured double hull badas.

I always like the B-25. My dad was a B-25 crew chief.
After the Korean War my dad was stationed back at Goodfellow AFB, a training base.
My dad would take me to work with him.
Sometimes when a plane would land my dad and I would drive out to the runway in a Follow Me truck.
Some times the plane would come to a stop with props still rotating and the belly ladder would drop down and a crew member would exit and walk over
to the truck and ask my Dad if it would be OK if I could go up and do some low approaches as they needed to burn off excess fuel.
Dad always said yes. As a 6 year old it was quite an experience.
I am 70 years old and I will never forget those days. :)

I'd have liked to browse this Boneyard, had a few planes there after WW2. Brave Boys flying in unpressurized aircraft.
Cheers Gentlemen.
Met a Door Gunner, Oldest Sheet Metal License in CA. He laughed, said he patched holes in the aircraft so well he said he was busier patching planes on the ground than shooting at them in the air. Tough Bird. Also joked and said he was glad they were unpressurized, "Good thing, if yer getting shot full of holes, you can still make it back because you knew you won't blow up and fall out of the sky." Baddass.

We were auto crossing out at Camarillo Airport one Sunday. Didn't realize it was bomber day. B17, B24, B25 and FiFi the B29 were all there. I have video of them coming in right over our heads. What a sight that was. I will see if I can get them posted up.

They use a Hind D as an aggressor for training the Jarheads during WTI. Not going on right now but the aggressor force flys in every now and then.
They also use F-5s.
