Maybe I missed the post, but did anyone else see the WW2 planes flying over the Lake this past weekend? I love that kind of stuff
Was cool seeing them swoop around.Maybe I missed the post, but did anyone else see the WW2 planes flying over the Lake this past weekend? I love that kind of stuff
Would have loved to see that.
But
I was at Pirates Cove last Thursday and saw a Back Hawk maybe 50 ft off the deck cruising down the river towards Havasu.
Guy hanging out the side door and everything.
Never seen one that low and it was cool as hell!
Later that day, I could've sworn
(& I know my helo's)
I saw a Hind flying south over the lake.
I was on the 95 at the time, but nothing else in the US inventory has that shape.
Training in Yuma??
Love the 17 but the 25 Mitchell is my favoriteWe’ve got a number of WW II aircraft flying out of Falcon Field here in Mesa, AZ
B-17, B-25, C-47 (DC-3), and a bunch of others including fighter planes, a trainer and some biplanes from WW I

They use a Hind D as an aggressor for training the Jarheads during WTI. Not going on right now but the aggressor force flys in every now and then.Would have loved to see that.
