Not an X3, but I have an Xprite 30" strobe chase light from Amazon. They also make a 36" version. It is not the most elegant solution out there, but it works great.

https://www.amazon.com/Xprite-RYWYR...3RF4H7PRZC2&psc=1&refRID=VM2F0WS5Q3RF4H7PRZC2

$100 for the light, wiring, mounting brackets, and a nice standard offroad style switch. I needed to buy a wiring extension which was like $10 and actually extended the wiring extension for my 4 seat RZR.

It has red marker lights on the outside that can be wired to your brake lights, there are colored lights (you can choose your color combo) that can flash, strobe, or stay on solid, and the center white light can be wired to reverse, or put on a switch as a cargo or marker light.

It comes with some angled mounts, and the offroad style switch pictured that lights up with a blue LED, and also controls the strobe functions.

I modified the included mounts, and just bolted the light bar to my roof. With my stock cage and the way my roof angles down, that worked best for me. With a different style roof, I could have just mounted it to the rear crossbar and tucked it under the roof.

A single amber light that comes on with the ignition so you can't forget to turn it on. Ebay has LED ones with a cover, so you can put the cover on if you're going to drive it on the public roads. It needs to be bright so in heavy dust, the guy behind you can see you.

Hey LOF
Is yoor light pretty bright?

Yea it works pretty well. I haven’t had anyone say they weren’t able to see it yet. I also leave the strobe set to epileptic seizure just to be sure.

You can’t see the red marker lights in the dust, but the ambers you can.

A good plan if you drive on the street minimally.

I do like the strobe, because as soon as you check the rear view mirror you can see it so you don’t forget to turn it off.

Got a couple of amber pods off Amazon, I think they were like 60 bucks. Wired in a remote control module with a wireless remote, pretty simple and effective.

Is that the PCI Race air single? If so how do you like it?

Trying to figure out if I need to speed $400 on one of the “high end” pumpers or not.

Yes it's the one from PCI that's under a hundred bucks, I put a splitter on it for both helmets and it does fine. The other ones are a little quieter, but for the money I'm good with this one for now.

Mounting it is a little bit weird since it has a bottom outlet, the other ones are probably a little bit more versatile as far as mounting locations go.

Thanks, that is good to know. I am looking at the $150 PCI and the $150 Parker Pumper Pro Lite as possible options.

If I were to do it over I would probably grab the one with the Dual Outlet, seems like it would make for a cleaner install and a little bit more airflow.

Yea I was looking at that one or the "Big Single" which is that same dual motor with just 1 outlet. On second thought just doing the dual outlet from the start is probably a better idea. A cap is like $2.. a new dual outlet hat is probably $50 to convert the "Big Single" to dual outlet down the road.

I have followed LOF car and his chase is plenty bright especially on seizure mode. You can’t see his red lights at all especially in thick dust in the am or afternoon.

I have two rigid dually with amber bulbs and lenses and I believe you can see pretty far
@LargeOrangeFont can you see mine from far?

Yea your baller setup is plenty bright in all conditions. I can see them over 1/4 mile away at night in the dust.

I don't think these flash strobe
I bought one very similar to these, wired it in line and keep the remote velcroed on the inside of the glove box. Has worked great so far... they can be steady on, fade-in fade-out, or flashing. You can then control brightness and speed of each mode. View attachment 811938

So the white wire section goes inline from battery to LED. Then only use remote for on off and strobe? Interesting and easy

So basically any LED pod light can strobe? This wont ruin the light?

Correct.

I had to try a couple of different ones until I found one that remembered the last setting when power is disconnected, because I use a disconnect on the positive feed from the batteries.

All my added Electronics go to a switch panel on the center console, so I turn them on-off from there. The remote is inside the glove box if I want to change the mode or brightness.

Yes, and in theory you could use a module like that to control any pod or light bar. Obviously if you're powering something with more draw you would need a heavier-duty unit, but these small ones should be fine for a couple of PODS or a very small light bar.

Every single emergency vehicle you see now has LEDs that are being strobed thousands of times a minute...

Yep simple. I have them on a switch for when I drive on the roadways. Need to turn them off. I also leave them on while parked out in the desert so people can see me. I was almost rear ended a few years ago because I didn’t have anything. They don’t strobe or flash or anything just constant on.

So I bought the one like LOL has. I wanted to go with one of the Rigid or Baja Designs, I like the clean look of those, but I cheaped out.
The light is really bright, like hurt your eyes bright at night. I wired the red brake lights to full time power. I wont say it blazes but it's close.
Make sure you get the extension cord, not even close to reaching the dash on my two seater...
Just gotta go try it out in the desert now!

Yea, I bought the 10 foot extension and had to add around 4 feet to it for my 4 seater. Even with the extension for $115 you can't beat this thing for the money.

I installed one similar to LOF's. Amber, red and white strobe. Mine also doubles as brake lights and turn signals(and even backup if you want).
It is the one electrical accessory I wired to turn on automatically with ignition. It initially goes to street mode and with a click of a remote button it switches to strobe mode(8 different patterns). I have it set to strobe just the ambers and white, that way the brake lights still function.
Mine is a 37" and was under a $80.

Also, built my own whip light for ~$30.
Used air chuck fittings for quick disconnect(these I still had from dealership days)
$15 for led strip.
$10 for clear shrink wrap
Couple bucks for waterproof 4 pin connectors and pipe fittings.
Had the fiberglass rod from old quad whips.
Some super strong marine tex adhesive to glue rod into pipe fitting.

You are really deep in the hole now :) Glad you are having some fun tinkering and personalizing it.

Mostly things that it needed, or should have and adding turn signals.
The whip was way easier to make than I expected, hardest part was converting the flat pin connector that comes with the light strip to the little round black sealed connector.....soldering those tiny(25ga?) wires was tedious.
One thing I learned was how easy it is to strip down panels to access wiring front to rear.😂

Yea. These things are actually really easy to work on.
