Figured somebody in the braintrust has some experience with this hobby machine. I already know it’ll be a PITA to change speeds but not too concerned. The majority of my work is with thin wall mild steels.

Not too interested in milling capabilities but the ways look good for its age.

Vise feels pretty good.

Bearing noise coming from the motor.

Motor should have standard bearing size in it. Change the bearings before you ruin the rotor.

Agreed @Racey, it'll need to be ran through for sure. If I can get it for scrap steel pricing then it makes sense to take a run at it.

Wondering what size collet it accepts though.

A decent drill press indeed!

We agreed on a number that made sense, I pick it up Monday.

Looking forward to it.

Bought from a couple of old fellas building one hot rod at a time in the backyard. 👌
