Thanks asking 2300$. Stripped out all wiring and gauges. Going with a new yamaha package should look good.

Sorry for the basic questions but is that motor a 2.6L carbed 200? Also, is it saltwater use and any type of modifications? Thanks

Yes it's the carbed motor. Its been run in salt water briefly at long beach stadium for prop testing. All other use was at Laughlin and Parker. It looks like it's only been run in fresh. No salt inside. the heads have no signs of salt coming out of gaskets like they do with salt water engines. Ran very well for me but I have an opportunity to put the new yamaha sho motor on the boat.

All the gauges can go and wiring can go. Whoever rigged in 1991 cut the main harness and added cable and then reconnected the other half of harness to make an extension. Not the best idea so I would not use it. The key switch was aftermarket so the main harness was cut and butte connected to tach and speed gauge.

I am repowering with a Yamaha 250 SHO 4stroke. The new V6 from yamaha. 505lb.

Thats a great motor, I was looking into those, but went with a new 300xs instead, I'll be installing mine in march on a 21RT, after I rewire and clean up my hull, would be great to see how they both will perform with these new motors.

Keep us all posted! I'm real curious to see how the two engines work. (2 stroke vs. 4 stroke, 250 vs. 300, etc.). Both are similar year/setup RT's right?

Especially because they weigh the same.
Mine is a 1992, with a 16" setback Hyd. bracket.
It looks like the other boat is a fixed bracket with about 8", we'll see if that makes a difference.

I am a dealer for Yamaha so I am using this as my demo motor for the next year.

That will be fun to see the difference in the 250 and 300. I think I have a foot set back on the bracket. I am putting in a Jack plate so i will get another 6 inches i believe.

What type steering are you putting in? I was going to order the teleflex pro.
Also, do you have fixed trim tabs. I took my hydraulic tabs out and plan on running it without trim tabs.
