Yeti is now charging $300 for a folding camp chair. I have no doubt its better than the $29 cheap one I use or even better than the $49 Colman with the side table.

But gee wiz, $300 for a folding chair?

I can see where they are going - $500 sleeping bag, $1,000 camp cook sets, $2000 tents, $5000....

I have no doubt they will sell them by the millions.

The $159 Yeti ice bucket with no lid @ Costco still takes the cake in my mind.

They guy making those $1000 tables for holding your drinks should have licensed them to Yeti :)

I used some hotel reward points for a Yeti Two 20 cooler that was 50% of point redemption. I rarely use it as I don't want people thinking I'm a snob or "look at me" person.

I'm sure that $300 chair is made in China too, which makes the inflated price even more difficult to justify. 'Designed in Austin, Made in China'. lol.

My backpacking sleeping bag was $600 :) I don't support Yeti as i heard they teamed up with local environmental groups that want to shut down our local deserts and riding areas.

Ironically when I wrote that I was thinking "I'm sure people are already paying 500 for a sleeping bag someplace" - but mine only cost 75-100 ;-)

LOL. The new fad is now car camping but they call it Overlanding.

It’s blown up in popularity the past 5 years. It’s the perfect poser hobby, lots to plan, tons of accessories and a million things to be “prepared” for with plenty of real overlanding vids to mimic.

All of a sudden everyone has a roof tent, fridge, sand tracks and 4 GPS units in their SUV and a plan to go the back way to Denali [emoji846]

I have had a lot of different coolers the Coleman stainless coolers work pretty good. The american coolers are hit and miss. I have one of there cooler back packs and after about 8 years of abuse it just started to leak, I will send it back and get it repaired. My wife got me a soft sided yeti cooler for a gift and I have to say it does work very good. We were in AZ in 110 deg heat and I left in in the car for 8 hours and only about 1/4 the ice melted. Do I think they are over priced YES but have to say in is a quality product. Also I never though about any one thinking different about me because the type of cooler I had. If you see me at the sand bar you can give me a hard time about my cooler but not about thew cold beer i will give you.

Fuck yeti. You want to make all your friends envious of you? Get a set of zero gravity chairs. Costco had these on sale for $60 for a while. Best camping chairs you can flop your fat asses in guaranteed

Edit: even Walmart has them.

... what’s that expression? “Laughing all the way to the bank” ... I guess Yeti better enjoy it while they can ... cuz even rich ballers are gonna know they look stupid sitting on a $300 lawn chair. Crazy what people value now. Oh well ... time for a rum & coke

Yeti lost any of my business when they dropped the NRA support. I will buy their knock-offs all day long. They did this to themselves.

We have a bunch of the SS cups but no more! I bough a Wally World 40 oz SS cup and use that every day ! Yeti can go lump it!
