Grizzly wintergreen pouches started doing when I would go out to bars and been doing it since which is 7 years. I do about a can a day one of these days I’m gonna commit to quitting. Also energy drinks I drink one everyday on my way to work.

No energy drinks but that damn Skoal is a MFr to stop. We all have some kind of vice though. I have given up and just accept the fact I have a habit and the consequences. I initially started doing this when my son was born and didn't want to smoke around him. Sometimes the Cherry is hard to get and that is when stuff starts to get tense....lol I DO NOT like the others.....Like a rat after his cheese I just want my Cherry.....

Grizzly fine cut for the last 10-15 years and Copenhagen for 20 years before that. The shit is a bitch to try and get out of your life.🤬

I am way down on the booze, and on chantix again so cutting down on the smokes as we speak..

I am considering quitting drinking entirely for awhile but I gotta admit that seems an almost impossible task with the lifestyle / business I have built.

That’s probably the weakest excuse I’ve ever heard.

I’m addicted to beef jerky. I buy from my buddy bota jerky. It’s at 85 bucks every week or 2 if I’m lucky.

I saw an ad a couple of days ago for Budweiser NA. It's becoming a thing. For me, the best NA beers are St Pauli Girl and Beck, but they're expensive. Old Milwaukee NA is the best cheaper NA, much better than O'Doul's and Sharp's. Busch NA is OK.
New Coors is awesome, I like the Busch N/a on the boat in the summer.

the old milwaukee na is my preferred chocie of na beers along with the coors edge, but i havent seen the coors in cans. the bush na is an acceptable substitute for on the boat as well.

ive tried a bunch of em. i have noticed that even with the na beers it kicks in the "habit" part for me a little bit.. meaning drink em all..

This has got to be my worst habit. I absolutely love it at almost any time of day, especially over ice! Mixing some Captain in there works too. If I could give up the soda I bet I could loose 20 lbs. I try really hard to limit it to one a day, getting to weekends only would be better, giving it up completely would be best.

I work with a guy that would drink probably 10 16oz cokes a day. He was heavy and had a diabetes scare. Switched over to coke zero and lost like 40lbs. Crazy if you add up all the empty calories in all that soda.

Change your circle of friends, Dave. I went thru that a few years back and I really saw some changes I needed to make. I havent drank more than 2 beers in one sitting since the pandemic to be honest, and it feels pretty damn good! Give it a shot......:) Not cutting out entirely, but just got tired of feeling like crap the next day.

Dude at that rate you should invest in your own dehydrator and make your own. I do it all the time and its fun playing with marinades and meat cuts to get that perfect jerky
I really need to look into it. I’m not kidding when I say it’s an addiction.

All that jerky you have to have the strongest jaw around. I have a dehydrator for jerky and love it. Dont use it as much as i should but when i do its good shit. I just cheat and get the pre made seasonings from Hi Mountain on amazon. Damn good stuff. Just find a good butcher that will slice up the meat for you.

I thought the same, it’s amazing what holding a n/a beer in your hands does to the psyche, makes you not feel like a dork at parties. And it’s quite funny at times to watch the fucked up people making idiots of themselves and knowing I’m gonna feel fine tomorrow.

been on this path for 8 months and can’t see myself ever getting drunk again. The Heineken Zero tastes just like beer. If I’m on the desert or in the water, it’s Old Milwaukee NA in cans. Half the price of the Heineken and I actually like the taste, but not as good as the Heineken

Lol that's disgusting.

Worked with a guy that did that as well...

One day, getting out of his circle track car, he passed out half way out the window.

Turns out, he had a heart attack. If he hasn't had been at the track, with the paramedics on site, he never worked have survived. His heart was So fucked up. His arteries were almost closed.

Today he looks 10 years younger and has energy he had no idea he had.

He's fortunate he got the chance to quit. He can real close to missing it!

I drink coffee in the morning. Smoke cigarettes. I'm almost two packs per day now. My mom has COPD and is on oxygen. Seeing her makes me want to quit.

Gotta have coffee in the morning, I don’t think I would poop if I didn’t drink it. Actually, come to think of it I could just sniff the open can, that’s usually all it takes.

Up until recently, I was a 4-5 cups of coffee a day guy.

I had been battling with what I thought was a sinus/right ear infection for a while and every time I went to go see the doctor, they would give me a round of antibiotics and steroids to fight the "infection" and I would be better for a little while but it would always return a week or so after I ran out of my prescriptions. Finally after the third time about 2 months ago, I went to go see a specialist (ear/nose/throat). As it turns out I had been clenching so hard in my sleep that my jaw muscles were putting extreme pressure on my right ear canal, my right eye socket, and causing my sinuses to close. You would have thought that I would have had some tooth or jaw pain but no....

I miss my coffee :( I have reluctantly forced myself down to 1 cup a day. I let myself cheat on the weekends with a half cup refill but it's been a tough go.
You got that pit bull jaw thing going at night... crazy what goes on while we're sleeping ain't it.

Just to be fair i chew way to much of those camel snus packets. We all have our thing.

I switched from cigarettes to snus around 1993, mostly because of being on an airliner about ten times a month. I brilliantly decided they would be better for me because I wouldn't be inhaling smoke. I didn't realize one snu had twice the nicotine of one cigarette, and that I would have one in my mouth all waking hours instead of smoking ten or twelve cigarettes a day. I probably quadrupled the amount of nicotine I was ingesting.

In July of 1997, I decided enough was enough. I hatched a plan to quit cold turkey on January 1, 1998. For the next six months I continually told myself how disgusting the habit was, and that cancer of the tongue, throat, or larnyx would result in me having half a face or dying a horrible death. The big thing, what I think made it easier, was that I didn't tell a soul about my plans. Talk is cheap, and I wasn't going to lay down BS on other people.

New Year's Day arrived, and I tossed the can in the trash. I knew one of the biggest challenges was going to be overcoming the oral fixation of having something in my mouth. I had gone to the store the day before, and purchased a few rolls of sugar free Breath Savers. They were going to substitute for the tobacco.

Two things resulted from my promise to myself to quit. First, it worked. I haven't used tobacco for 23 years. I never had a relapse. Second, having that pouch in my mouth was a stronger addiction than I could have ever imagined.

Just days after I quit the snus, I started buying ten roll packages of the Breath Savers. I had to have one in my mouth all the time to lessen the craving for the tobacco. It took six years for me to stop using the mints.

Tobacco is a bad bitch.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that a few years later someone asked me if quitting was difficult. I told him that it wasn't that bad, that it didn't have any bad side effects like changing my personality. My wife was listening, and she said "You were a fucking asshole for six months."

😁 :p😁

My dr told me nicotine is tougher to stop than heroine ..... I don't know if thats a fact or he was just scaring me.... but he was the saxophone player for Sublime and apparently their lead dude died of heroine addiction so he's got some personal exposure I guess.

I limit myself to 1 can of either Bang or C4 energy drinks a day. I'd drink 2 if I knew they weren't bad for me. And like others said I don't think they do much for me anymore.

He was saying his bad habit is leaving the lid off the toothpaste.

I was saying my bad habit is squeezing the tube of toothpaste in the middle vs rolling it from the end.

Both are joking comments. We are not eating toothpaste, or toothpaste tubes. [emoji3][emoji3]

Two packs of camels for 30 years. That ended with a 6 way bypass, 4 years ago, Jan. 11, '17.
Coffee cut way back (fuck decaf)
Beer only on the weekends.
And a cigar on the holidays.
I've got two granddaughters I want to see grow up.

Ive never done heroin but I would tend to agree with your doc! Quitting tobacco was the hardest thing Ive ever had to do. I finally kicked tobaccos butt about 2.5 years ago after a 35+ year pack-a-day addiction.

I don’t consider coffee a “Bad Habit” I love a great cup of coffee to start my day and will never give it up!!! Beer on the other hand is a guilty pleasure I still do that I know I should kick to the curb, albeit I’m pretty much a 2 pump chump these days, lol. The days of drinking all night long and going to work an hour later are way behind me (I hope)

My only real addiction these days is food. 🍔

That's 1,027 calories a day!

Way more than 1027 cal.
A regular can is 140 cal.
I think this guy would be healthier if he switched the 10 Coke tallboys to the equivalent amount of beer.

I use to sleep with my eyes open, not kidding. My wife fixed that by poking me in the eyes on numerous occasions. Honey what did you do that for??? I wasn't sleeping...

I thought a 12 oz is 80 calories. If he switched to beer, he would definitely enjoy the buzz.
