Yuma RDP’ers please advise

I may be looking at a job transfer to Yuma, it will be a good opportunity if I decide to take it. My questions are-
Where to live, schools etc.
Are there bad areas?
Am I crazy to consider moving from Phoenix?
Please chime in with any thoughts.

I love that place , believe it or not I would go to Yuma before Hawaii or Mexico ,

I can help. Where is your new job located? No you are not crazy. I spent nine long years in that brown cloud.

I'd reccomend living in the foothills area. Great schools, killer off roading and 20 minutes to the river.

When I'm in Yuma I go to Tacos El Cositas for shrimp tacos and always hit River City Grill for dinner. Nice place 3 months out of the year. Wife's folks live there full time and they are building a lot of homes around them. People live there because they have to. The rest of us leave and go home.

I don’t live in Yuma but have a place on the lower river. Friends live in the Foothills and love it. Newer neighborhoods with good schools and plenty of conveniences nearby.
