I have a Manitowoc in my garage in Havasu that makes 400 lbs. per day. It prob. does 200 lbs when its hot out. I bought it new about 8 years ago & it was some of the best money I have spent.:thumbsup
X2 for the manitowoc

Not mine but seems like a decent deal.

Have this same machine. Works great but you have to bag the ice and put it in the freezer first if you want it to last more than a couple hours on the boat.

I’m looking at this machine just purchasing new. About $2,500 from what I see. Haven’t picked a website yet to buy.

That's the same model we've had in Havasu for 10-12 years. Flawless over that time.

Some of you guys are real ice afficianados. When I bought my place I needed a fridge so i got a samsung dual ice maker unit and hooked up an inline .5micron 5 year filter and I am done. I usually fill up a grocery bag with remaining ice as part of my close up the house procedure so when i show up next time i usually have 12-15 lbs to use.

I have had 4 ice machines. My advise, NEVER by a Chinese unit, stick to USA built/Mexico for the parts. Ratings, if it is rated at 150 pounds, you will get 75 pounds in Havazoo if in a garage or outside, all due to ambient temp an inlet water temp. Get a larger ice bin or store in deep freeze if you need a lot. I would highly suggest this unit, https://www.ebay.com/itm/331880610575?hash=item4d45a03b0f:g:HYwAAOSwvg9XXrfb.
Get 150 pound mininum, best is 200 +.
Look used, usually first tow number of serial number is the year made. Pumps go out, just $100 or so to replace, easy. If outside in winter, they will not work, too cold for defrost cycle. Look at CL, or e Bay locally.

I found this, it will do three families! https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bfs/d/temecula-commercial-ice-machine/7429160753.html

What’s everyone doing for the constant draining of water if you don’t have a sewer line it’s dropping in to?

we have an ice maker for drinks but for ice-chest ice, we have a stand up freezer and fill 10-20 plastic solo cups every night. those 16oz ice cubes last all day no problem

I had a drain put in the floor of my garage before concrete. You could always use a pump with a float to a drain somewhere.

Some of the photos of machines posted
I believe are Chinese made, I would avoid, just try to get any parts. Stick to USA or Mexico main brands.
