Well here we go again. Back in full cheer mode!!! I mean, why else would I be up at 4:45am on a Sunday!!


First competition of 2014/2015 season today in Huntington Beach.

Girl fell at one of our games. Broke her jaw, arm, bleeding from the ears. They cancelled the game and helicoptered her to Childrens Hospital. Thankfully she recovered and cheers today.

She is small, waist/weight wise, but gets some height from her mom. She is a base right now. My sister who is 20 and like 5'4" was a flyer in competitive cheer and HS Cheer.

These girls/guys are freaking athletes. I love watching the level 4 - 6 teams, the stunts they pull off are incredible.

My daughter is (was, today was her last day) in Guard. They practice more than the football players do. They are in phenomenal physical condition. :thumbup:

That being said, my daugher was bored with it, and is going back into martial arts. She has made me a very proud dad!

We are in Las Vegas as well. I'm pretty sure I saw your daughters team compete. We saw the Havasu team go too.
My daughter is with CA Allstars out of San Marcos. J2 Large Youth.

If you are around, make sure to watch the lady bullets and the lvl 5 teams go. It's like watching Olympic gymnastics but with 25 kids all going at the same time. My daughter has her sights set on being on one of those teams before graduating high school.

We were in the elevator with some folks from the Havasu team.

My son was a coach for the Havasu team and the spotter for cheer team . Some of the girls have a lot of guts to be competitive at cheer at such at young age .

3rd place here in Vegas for Intensity Air Force One! It was close between 2nd & 3rd.

Very proud of these girls, this is only their 2nd competition together as a team.

Thats awesome. We just finished cheer as well- 9 and 11 year old girls for Pop Warner in Palos Verdes. The girls work their rears off. So fun to watch.

Our grandaugter's team from Havasu just won 1st place National Champions in her age division. She is 5 and it was her first competition. We are very proud grandparents.

Congratulations!! I was in there when they won, she is in the level 1 mini's. They did a great job!
It is so cool to win an event like this at such a young age. Lake Havasu's gym is actually pretty big for such a small town.

Well, we are back at it again and off to Palm Springs this weekend. Every year this competition falls on Superbowl Sunday.........so needless to say I have not watched a live Superbowl since 2011.

Any of my fellow Cheer Dad's going to be in the desert this weekend???

I'm a bit curious, are there the diva moms in attendance like the ones on the show Dance Moms?
My wife/daughter watch that show and it drives me crazy.
When my girl was on competitive volleyball teams there was always one or two moms(or dads) that seemed to be the obnoxious ones.

We perform mid morning on both days. We usually stay down there for the weekend, but decided to drive both days to save some $$$$ for San Diego in a couple weeks.

Nice. Two days of competition makes for a long weekend. They did great though. 1st place out of 8 teams in their division.

Great job!! We were 4th out of 12 going into today and dropped a girl during a stunt this morning so fell to 7th. [emoji34]

Super proud of these girls for keeping it together and finishing strong. Next stop San Diego!

Well, things just got real interesting. At the final awards tonight we were awarded an at large bid to summit.


Cali Coed got a full paid bid as well.
