After 44+ years, I have never seen outriggers on a crawler...
They are removable

You need them when you have a large amount of boom out, so when it's boomed down on the ground you can lift it without a stability issue.
We call them "frog legs"

I heard one of their picks was 275,000 lbs at 425'
Crazy
It’s an awesome site to see , the company that is utilizing it is picking some massive long span trusses for a project. Can’t post much but this will give an idea of the type of project going on. Jobsite’s like these just make me smile while on them .

I am at LAX flying out to Bauma. Our booth is about 160,000 Sq feet I side. We have 2 restaurants and a wine and beer bar for customers

I'll post pics when I get there. But yeh, they don't mess around

This "H-Wagon" thing...is it there to support auxiliary counterweights when the boom is unloaded? Or is it for moving the crawler with heavy weight instead of breaking down to move?

Also odd to see business types standing near a 79ton snatch block...we were yelled at anytime a crane was up, hard hats on:D

No euros were yelled at. ;)

The "M" wagon is used to increase the capacity by about 150 tons. That wagon can carry about 300k lbs of counterweight making the crane almost a 900 ton unit. It moves with the crane and turns as it turns, etc. It doesn't prop the crane itself.

A couple more from the mining side
440 ton haul truck.
You can see people on the right side for some perspective

Amazing, what's the purpose of the black structure extending up from the front cowling with the two arms extending to the front ?
Seems odd to me how the design of the dump bed on those haul trucks appears small compared to the vehicles overall size.
I assume that's necessary to achieve a dump angle that doesn't flip the truck over backwards ?

Its a Hybrid Trolley system. I think. Going uphill it can connect to overhead power lines and can put full power to the electric wheel hubs and let the diesel Engine idle. Less Emissions. As it hauls Coal out of the ground to power Coal Fired Generation to Power EV Vehicles and coal mine trolley systems..... Me being sarcastic.

Very interesting, wouldn't have guess it, but especially in EU, where overhead trolley's are so prevalent, makes sense. Also explains the cables to each arm. 👍👍

The CanAm style "test drive" would be an adventure! The dump truck would be like driving a two story house:oops:
Maybe we do that on the lot….LOL. by the way @monkeyswrench we are closing on the lot next to our so we have the whole thing. We can have second annual Dessert Storm Beers, Brats & Burgers outing without worry of being towed.

I have watched a few Liebherr plant videos on youtube. Very impressive that they manufacture mostly everything in house.

When I first became an operating engineer (local 12 LA) I worked at the LA Music Center, One of the tower crane operators took me aboard his rig, where we made some picks and I said get me down from here, that thing moved around like crazy when he made the pick and then when he sat it down, NO THANKS. I stuck with ground rigs after that LOL

Not mine but this is our biggest crawler at 3,300 ton capacity. There is one of these working in Arizona. Just wanted to share so you can see the physical size with people next to it. The guy pressure washing is standing just beneath the rotating assembly between the tracks
