CU family here too. #1 is a grad and #2 is in her senior year. We own a condo next to campus, just across 28th. Wifey grew up in Boulder.

Mine did and was removed and capped. Yes they come out of the mold that way.

What year was yours? Mine is 2001, Lee said the older top deck did not have the lip. They added it to fit the newer bottom. Maybe thats why my bottom is different before Carson changed it.

Mine is not capped and doesnt have the lip.

It does has the lip, it's just not noticeable because of the external ski tow and the rub rail.

Believe me, its there.

Updates:

V-drive assembly is being built
Motor is near completion
We decided to go with gauges only on the dash- no screen
Hydraulic steering being installed
Also planning on doing some alcantara highlights throughout the interior
