I had the floors done up inside my schiada last year. Well I have been riging the boat and noticed a few scratches. Can these be buffed out?

Also I was working on the boat, and a buddy thought it would be funny to shake the boat while I was under the dash. Anyways, the drill was sitting on a bracket and fell off on to my fresh black coated floor and put a chip in it. Can I get regular black flow coat and touch it up? Luckily the chip is under the motor, but it stil bothers me....

I don't know why you couldn't buff it out? if anything it may end up with more shine and you have to buff the rest to match:champagne:

Im sure the little scratchs can be buffed out. But the chip is nasty lookin. I just want to fill it with some gel. I just need a little bit of black gel to take care of this. Where would I be able to buy a pint of black gel?

A pint? That must be a hell of a chip.

First off, what kind of boat? How old? Is there clear gel over the black? If you just want it filled any black will do.If you want it to look like it was never there it will take a little more effort.Black is black, right?

In a word,no. If it has clear it will have a bit more shine and look deeper.it will also be harder to blend in the clear.

If it,s just black gel and not to old then yeah, just fill, layer of part all and sand/buff.

Be advised not all black gels are equal.Valspars black is true black, duratech black has a tint of blue or something in it and takes much longer to cure.

Where you at?
