My buddy/neighbor drug his 21' boat out of storage on Sat.
I walked over, he was giddy as a school girl.
Somebody turned him on to
Zep Toilet Bowl cleaner. Some kind of nasty strong acid mix.
Says his hull hasn't been this white since the boat was brand new.
Cheap product too. Any home center.....

Any idea what the process is? I actually just finished a full wax on my exterior, would be interesting to do the bottom, spray on scrub then water and wipe I’d imagine but would like to hear how and some pics.

I used ZEP's copy of CLR on our old PWC at the end of last summer (It sat in the lake for 3+ months and it was almost calf shit brown).
I was shocked at how well it worked.
Spray it on, let sit for 10 mins. A stiff bristle brush will loosen everything up ... then hose it all off.
I might have used $2.00 worth of the ZEP stuff.

I've used the tiotelt bowl cleaner method. Make sure to dilute 1:4 with with water and use a soft brissle brush to scrub it with.

I've had pretty good luck removing the scum line with Shout (or Awesome products equivalent) Spray on, let sit for a few minutes then hose off. If it has some really stubborn spots then Mr. Clean magic eraser. Be forewarned that these will strip all the wax of but if you have a really bad scum line then you're due for a good wax and sealer anyway.

I dont know if it works the same as the starbrite hull cleaner, but if so don't do it in your driveway

I’ve never used the above products, but have used FSR before. Wipe on, wipe off. its made specifically for fiberglass and works amazingly!!!! It’s caustic, so wear gloves and be sure to wax afterwords.
