Next up a little closer look at this Kokopelli Trailer for an Eliminator Daytona. This trailer was bad ass, trailering arm suspension on airbags..

The air bags are cool. The whole damn trailer is cool. But it looks more like a trailing arm suspension??? Not A arm.

Boulderboats.com brought out a couple wakesetters and an Axis. (I didn't get a pic of the Axis)

This orange WakeSetter had a giant touch screen in it that ran all the functions of the boat..

This is a product called "Titania" it's basically a spray that you put on your boat, and it prevents any contaminates for setting in for a year. They have a top coat / interior spray / and a bottom coat. You can spray it on just about anything. They even have a spray for solar panels that prevents water from beeding up and setting in.. These were the 2 boats and the solar panel they had at the booth.

They are setting up a Demonstration with Adrenaline after Desert Storm.. They might end up being the shop in town that starts selling the product and applying it. Pretty cool stuff.

IMG_3701.jpg IMG_3699.jpg IMG_3700.jpg

This is what the solar panel looked like after I sprayed it with water. Left side treated right side not treated.

Sharq Skinz wraps here in Havasu with their boat.

This was a pretty cool (and very custom) Woody that In Stitches brought out.

Another edit when you fully wake up. That is a 26 Shadow Deck, not a 27 Shadow. The 26 Deck is owned by the catwrench guy and his wife.

Avalon Pontoons offered by "Got Water" here in Havasu (This big one was bad ass!! had to be a 10' beam?)

Their booth was pretty big, but I just pics of the big one mainly.

Finally have made our way back down on the 2nd Isle to Kokopelli's actual booth.

IMG_3730.jpg

These are called "slide boards" or something like that.. Basically let the boat slide up on the trailer without damaging gel. The bunks on these Kokopelli's have be rethinking some shit on my Schiada trailer. I was listening to the owner talk to another customer about them and he basically said he had been using them for the better half of a decade and hasn't had to replace one yet. I'm not sure what's under that rubber/plastic stuff if it's penske board, or treated lumber or ??

IMG_3729.jpg IMG_3728.jpg IMG_3731.jpg IMG_3732.jpg

Nordic per usual had a bad ass display. They arranged it in kind of a big square with the EZ Up's in the middle.. I didn't get a final count from Thane, but I know he sold a few deckboats at the show. They always bring a nice variety of Decks / Cats / Vee's.

IMG_3747.jpg IMG_3746.jpg IMG_3745.jpg IMG_3744.jpg IMG_3743.jpg IMG_3742.jpg IMG_3741.jpg IMG_3740.jpg IMG_3739.jpg IMG_3738.jpg IMG_3737.jpg IMG_3736.jpg IMG_3735.jpg

Kind of a weird little shade deal that clamps to a handlebar or a center console mount.. Good for up to 50 mph.

IMG_3748.jpg IMG_3750.jpg IMG_3751.jpg IMG_3749.jpg

Chris from interceptor and the Tige guys. His new Deckboat came out bad ass, so I guess the name on the back of this one is fitting. :)

I think Advantage had the largest booth in the Havasu Boat show this year. They brought out 10 different boats with them from large offshore Vee's to small jetboats, X Flights, Party Cats, they were well represented to say the least.

I have never really been in too many Advantage Vee Bottoms, but this 28 Victory was pretty cool with the center seating. It opens up all kinds of cabin area when you goto a side door. I guess they have been building them this way since 2002, but I hadn't been in one before. This was the only boat I actually climbed up and in to get a better look at it.

Then we have Howard Boats and the famous (Or infamous depending on who ya talk too) Gene Willen!

Howards are so sick... I was looking at the orange 28 Bullet (Scott Daniel's boat) on the trailer, and it's just got that perfect stance.. Gene was telling me something or another in the booth, but I wasn't listening I was kinda mesmerized by the Bullet. He brought a 288, 28 SDS, and 28 Bullet

IMG_3794.jpg IMG_3800.jpg IMG_3799.jpg IMG_3798.jpg IMG_3797.jpg IMG_3796.jpg IMG_3795.jpg IMG_3791.jpg IMG_3792.jpg IMG_3793.jpg

Of Course he had his RDP boat tests on hand for anybody that wanted to read them. :)

AZ Reflections (detailing company here in Havasu)

IMG_3802.jpg

And then we have Conquest whom brought out 2 Decks with them. The grey and purple one had a kind of unique flair to the gel. I had someone tell me they didn't care for it much, but I disagree.. After looking at it for a minute it really grew on me.

IMG_3809.jpg IMG_3808.jpg IMG_3805.jpg IMG_3804.jpg IMG_3806.jpg IMG_3803.jpg

Some of the boat manufacturers could take a lesson from Conquest here.. They managed to find a new fuel fill that isn't terrible looking and is EPA compliant. All the other mfg's are using the same chrome plated plastic cheezy looking ones.

One of RDP's newest Advertisers is Eric Lopez with Allstate.. He is absolutely killing it in the High Performance Cat markets right now. To give you an idea the Brand New M-35 (yellow) with 1350's is 4K a year.. That would normally be at least double that with a layup, in some cases triple that.

IMG_3810.jpg IMG_3811.jpg

Crazy body glove boat..

IMG_3812.jpg IMG_3813.jpg

I don't know what all this stuff is on the back of it.
IMG_3814.jpg

AquaLillypad's booth.. That booth was completely surrounded with their Mattes at the beginning of the show.
IMG_3815.jpg

Zubrick T-shirts always does well at these events.

Boy, Advantage sure has come a long way since 1992 when I ordered my boat from Bob S. at the Long Beach boat show. My boat was built at their old head quarters in Anaheim Hills.....

Next up is Dominator's Display. They were right at the very front when you enter the boat show. From an exposure standpoint I think that's probably the best booth.. But the problem is everyone parks their cars, and then never comes back that way so I'm not sure how it is for foot traffic.

I really like Dory's non pushy, ez going approach to sales. He just gives info and offers demo's and if it's a fit for the customer then they start going from there.

Dave,
is the White/Red/Grey OCM boat an Eliminator Edge?

It's an Eagle. The Edge was a mod VP boat they built back in the day. I think it's a 250, but it might be a 236..

Prestige Marine's Booth

IMG_3831.jpg

Chad Hill from Hill Marine was just tearing down his booth when I took these pics.
IMG_3841.jpg

So here's the contact info if you need a prop. He's coming out with a 22 / 5 blade here soon. I know a couple of other guys (as well as myself) have been waiting for the bridge between the 21 and the 23.
IMG_3842.jpg

Mercury Racing's Booth. They brought out a new 400R outboard.
IMG_3836.jpg

This exhaust thing is kinda crazy.. It's completely quiet, but doesn't rob Horsepower.
IMG_3840.jpg

Bravo III XR!!! They have this behind a 520!! I'm going to do an article at some point about why BIII's are better then B1's for smaller Vee bottoms. They aren't just for heavy deck boats and carrying loads.
IMG_3839.jpg IMG_3838.jpg IMG_3837.jpg IMG_3835.jpg

Place Diverter had a pretty good show from what I heard. We went out for Cocktails at the Turtle Saturday night. They had fun, I got kicked out.. LOL

The corporate Jet is always a crowd pleaser.

IMG_3834.jpg IMG_3833.jpg IMG_3832.jpg

New product alert! The U Float is basically in the shape of a diaper and is a comfortable floating device for enjoying cocktails and social activities in the waters with your friends.

Dare Me Bitch Bikini's

Outlaw LED had a serious Rig at the show.. Robby Gordon got involved with them back in November.

Slide Anchor's booth
IMG_3850.jpg IMG_3849.jpg

New Product Alert! (I think.. I've never seen one anyways) My Anchor Pal.. Basically a neoprene deal that goes over the top of the slide anchor so that you don't whack your toes and shins.

Desert Storm booth relaxing at the end of the show.

This patio furniture was bad ass... but at 3,000'ish bucks for 2 chairs and a love seat.. Good God.. I still want it though. :D

IMG_3859.jpg IMG_3858.jpg IMG_3857.jpg IMG_3860.jpg IMG_3861.jpg

This was DCB's booth that they share with Preston from Horizon Motorsports. There is no question this was the high dollar booth of the show. Everything was first class detailed to the tens and way out of my budget. :D

That being said that concludes the pics for the Havasu boat show.. I didn't hit everything at the show (mostly skipped the toons, and product booths I didn't think you guys would be interested in)..

Now I gotta go hit the lake with Tony in the M-29 to test some props.

Hey RD any more info on this boat from Domn8er?

If memory serves that was a raysoncraft cat, then Dana boats got it, then they went under now domin8tr has it..

It is a bad ass low profile 28. I believe when Dana was building it they claimed it could run twins in it..

What do you want to know?

Thanks Dave & 2FF for the pics and video  As for the Caliber 1 265? I have seen it in person and like it. I think that others will gravitate to it once they see it on the water.
