I'm not sure that I've heard her sing. First time I heard of her was in a thread in the last week or so. She's kinda odd looking so I didn't bother searching for one of her songs I instead went right to Janis Joplin for my listening pleasure.

Edit I gave her a chance. I briefed several songs and she must really hate Eva Peron 'cause she royally fucked up that one. I did find one song she sang well and looked good doing it. It's hard to believe it's the same person. May she rest in peace.

… That is Sinead O’Connor???… that really is hard to believe???…

Nobody sings Don't Cry for me Arentenia better than Elaine Paige. Her version of Memory from Cats is also the best. Not Betty Buckley, Streisand, or Sarah Brightman, all of whom have better voices than Paige...but Paige knew how to deliver it better. I have the DVD with below clip lol. I've seen every Lloyd Weber show, including Phantom 6 times, Cats 3 times, JCS twice.

Nicole Scherzinger from PussyCat Dolls does a great version too, and her surprisingly good soprano voice is also trusted by Lloyd Weber; even for Phantom.

We should drive out to Joshua Tree and pay Johnette a visit. She had this great, acoustic version of Tomorrow Wendy where she gave the backstory behind the song. It was gut-wrenching, but I can't find it.

Today I was streaming random songs and a co-worker and I agreed this was a great Leonard Cohen song...until we discovered it was Nick Cave! Okay, I get it now, I always wondered why he's such a big deal "down there." Excellent voice.

That's a cool version but not the one I was looking for. It was a vid, she looked horrid and kind of whacked out, but the story was much longer. I'm sure it's around somewhere, maybe I'll clear out my YT cookies to find it.

Dwarves are bad ass.

BOS for me.

I had this little crazy friend that love these guys and he showed up at my door after about 20 years. Just got out of prison on his ninth DUI. He was found a year later stabbed to death in a Santa Ana parking lot. Crazy lil bastard Wes!!! 😆

I wish Sammy would come around again...as Sammy. And keep that guitar strapped on.

Okay, Michael Anthony can tag along since he owns Hallett's

Hey look, there's a 1 in 300K chance you may see me in the crowd!

Stray Cats were the best on New Wave Day, they blew everybody away, including the Clash (yawn).

This came across the email today. Turntable Labs is offering a pre-order of a live Cure record, the first reissue of it since 93.

But it's missing The Forest...hmmmmm
