Started to watch it last night and about 1/2 hr in I'd had enough.

I liked it. Most of it at the beginning was wtf? Then the end plot twists were interesting and gathered up all the weird stuff. Not a block buster for sure but wasn’t trying to be. Not your typical 5 minutes in, “ he did it!” Movie.

I watched the trailer. After watching I said “nope”, and watched 40 year old virgin instead.

The actual movie and story were Halfway decent.

The ending though? The characters and the acting? The script???

Those people should be ashamed of themselves!!!

You know, that’s a great point. It never explained why that was even a plot line. Super random. And the girl that got beat by the monkey was sitting in the stands. But they never went into what the fuck that was all about. Poor editing I’m guessing. I bet there was a lot of that plot line on the cutting room floor.


Edit - ok, I take it back. I just googled it and it is a load of horse shit! Peele tries to explain its a commentary on how humans treat animals and about how people deal with trauma or some stupid touchy feely crap. Purposefully written into the story. Swing and a miss!

I guess it was supposed to show he was a child actor? That was still kinna/sorta an actor, present time, with an oh so traumatic background??

The dad was killed by a nickel, and the son saved it on his wall??

How about the motorcycle rider with the one eyed chrome helmet??

The dude from Fry's just HAPPENS to be a UFO buff??

And the cinematographer that runs out of film, at exactly the wrong time??

And let's not talk about a wishing well that takes pics, and spits them out as 12x14 prints shall we??
