I've used a sawzall a few times, even a pot-a-power to "persuade" things....but sometimes a 48" SnapOn crow bar just gets things handled 🤣

Maybe a stupid question....but why are you heat treating? It's a file....it's already heat treated, no?
yes it's already heat treated but ........it needs to be annealed to cut, grind on, shaped, sanded and drilled once all of that is done you heat treat it and "normalize" it then the finish sanding, sharpening etc is done.....................home that makes sense

Two shelves up. If only the walls were square I could have had a better fit than 1/8 gap on side of the shelves. Oh well what ya gonna do.
Patching old mount holes. A little texture coat and paint. Call it good.
Might raise the lights up a bit but those are easy.
Rechargeable LED multicolor lights in. They secure by a magnet inside the globe.

Yours is much nicer than my old Robinson Heliporter I'd modified for my pwc projects. 👍 Lost it in the fire along with the one out of the only two all carbon fiber Yamahas perched on it. 😞 Sure made it handy for working height and loading / unloading out of the truck bed. 👌

Wife was facility manager for a company and a tenant left it when they moved out of a rented building. I hated to lose it.

I still need to fine tune /shim a couple for levelness. Finish the final painting coats.

Won't idle, has a brand new carb and same issue as rebuilt carb. It is very very lazy on the Rev, dizzy is set correctly but it even get it to fire you have to retard the shit out of it. We are down to a base engine problem, we think the cam is off a tooth. We don't know anything about the build except no one has been able to make idle since it was rebuilt (4 owners now). Time to pull the motor and split the case.

Unknown size, Unknown cam, all we know is it came with a 356 speedster carb (just one) and a 356 dizzy.

The owner is a friend or ours that is battling throat cancer and they need the money.
Spent about an hour on this today, @coolchange came over so we could get another set of eyes on it. After fukin with it and checking valve events and the fact that the compression is 130 to 140 psi he agrees that the cam is most likely off a tooth or 2. It's about the laziest reving engine I've heard, a damn Model A revs faster.

One more shelf done( well mounted needs finishing touches) Tv on its legs not mounted temporarily
Tomorrow. Hopefully. Trimming the mantle by about 8 inches. And mount the tv over that. And then a second long shelf before the new cabinet comes in. 😜
When the mantle try fails.
A new reclaimed wood mantle will find a new home. 🙄

So in an attempt to consolidate projects and make room it was time to finish the bed project for my 49 truck.
I wont narrate every picture but I started with making inner fender wells that mimicked the shape of outer fender I had bought steel and bent the bed sides when I was working at Wyotech like 8 years ago and before anyone asks it is a altered wheel base and aftermarket parts are thin so build it myself.

So commence working!

If the guy that built that couldn’t time a cam, better check the deck heights also.

Getting ready to put Sumo springs, Saf T Steering stabilizer and sway bar adjustments to Moho. Easy stuff
Hardest part of that is centering the Saf T Steer. I am still not happy with mine after multiple attempts.

Well after reading reviews and what not, I have come to believe that. My plan is to get it aligned after the changes so hope they will center if need be. From all I have read, these changes make a world of difference in handling. Not bad now (subjective to experience I think) but don’t care for body lean and road wander at times. The big thing is sway bar adjustment because the Ford F53 chassis is set up from factory not knowing which body is going on from what I read. Moving the connection to lower bolt hole stiffens the roll tendency. Any experts know something different I’m listening.

Cleaned & Flex sealed the swamp coolers insides, replaced the pads & serviced the moving parts,,, ready for summer.

So. Baby steps. Shelves are in and level and secure. And yes. The little woman has / is re doing the shelves again. Even though I said tomorrow I will caulk and touch up the paint. That’s just baffling to me but oh well I’m not doing it. Lol.
Mantle top cut out. Still waiting on wood mantle to make final decision on how much more to cut off remaining mantle. Textured and painted just now. Then up with the tv
Our cabinet for the stereo equipment came in but in black so delays waiting for the white one. But 🤷🤷 Anywhoo. I’m pleased. But better yet. She’s happy 😃 👍
Still not sure if I want to move the speakers back in under the inset. 🤔

I’ve got way too many projects in the hopper currently.
Priority #1: get the bracket car ready for the 2024 season
Priority #2: get the Centurion Warrior Barefoot I recently drug home buffed & waxed, figured out and ready for summer.
Priority #3: Motorhome yearly maintenance
Priority #4: yard work.

I watched a video put out by Safe T Plus on how to center it. Haven’t road tested it yet to check, but the old one I took off was centered so we will see. Now just need the Sumo springs to come in. I’m getting too old to be crawling around on the ground doing this shit. If it wasnt for air tools I would still be there.

Changed out the fan motor on the river AC.
24 year old USA built motor replaced with a China $29.
Fussy, frozen screws and frying pan white RV roof.
Been using my impact driver since I was 12 still using it today.
